The curtains have been pulled back on Rocksteady's next project. Watch the Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League trailer now.
Looks good but I don't like how they seem to have taken a little inspiration from the awful film version, why not use Black and Red Harley Quinn from the Arkham games or have a comic accurate design of Deadshot like this, rather than basising it off the Will Smith version, he shouldn't really have his mask off much anyway https://i.pinimg.com/origin... I have high hopes though, I'm more impressed by this than Gotham Knights. Hope it's single player focused.
Its called costume unlock, you'll be able change the looks.
But I meant as the default look, the ones they'll use for marketing, on the cover, in the canon story etc They nailed Deadshot in the Arkham games https://cdn.mos.cms.futurec... I mean I can have a Batman Beyond skin in the Arkham games, but they don't use that as an official skin because it's just a non-canon costume unless stated in the games story.
What a garbage trailer, all the gun shooting like what? 2022 release date lool they would have been better off showing no date. And no gameplay? Seriously? How are people saying this looks good? CGI trailers turn you on?
I meant it more in terms of over-style presentation, I'm not saying the game looks good as there's no gameplay, just the concept they are trying to sell us on. That in no way says "WOW AMAZING...DAY ONE" I loved the Avengers at a first glance but now I have no desire to buy it, it looks terrible in my opinion. Opinions change as more gets shown off.
Thunder_G0d_Bane "How are people saying this looks good? CGI trailers turn you on" this looks to be in-engine though. you can clearly tell Harley's hair is still rendered in hair cards with some low poly bends as it moves. http://i.picpar.com/YhQe.pn... even the FFVII remake offered more polys for hair. http://i.picpar.com/ZhQe.jp... and that is a current gen title. this game is supposed to be for next gen platforms.
I didn't think it looked good either, but I guess other people are excited for it?
I’m opposite, was more into the Gotham Knights reveal than this. Tired of Superman always being a villain, mind-controlled or otherwise. He incinerated that pilot! Already have Injustice. The action throwdown looked like a Fortnite trailer with the cheesy music and flipping around cutscenery. Disappointed.
This look is probably more popular now and also you dont see her much with joker from what I noticed so the the old look is eh.
So...Harley is Spider-man now?
Yeah I noticed that too. Glad I wasn't the only one that noticed her spider-man like swinging and agility
I thought the same thing
I would assume the movie vision would be more accessible to most people and doesn't rely on having to have played the past games. I mean everyone knows what Harley Quinn looks like because of the movies
You impressed by CGI trailer instead of actual gameplay footage of Gotham Knights ?
Disappointed. We waited five years to see this Sunset Overdrive rip-off?
Did I miss the gameplay of this game I just seen a reveal of the game thats coming out 2022 that didnt show gameplay.
I'm more disappointed that we didn't see any gameplay. :( I mean, YEARS of waiting and nothing? Still excited for it though.
Looks way more interesting than Gotham Knights. Nothing wrong with a game actually having some personality.
What personality did zombie Superman have? I can see the Squad sitcom getting irritating 8 hours in. Still 2 years to go though. We’ll see.
@P_Bomb "What personality did zombie Superman have?" What? It seems like you're really going out of your way to identify some part of the trailer that was lacking personality. That was clearly just a short scene to establish Superman as being a menacing antagonist and it was effective for what it was. "I can see the Squad sitcom getting irritating 8 hours in." This is an admission that the game has a strong personality. Anyway, I doubt it. Rocksteady are a good studio and they seem to be committing to a certain tone.
I’m not going out of my way to identify anything. I’m talking about what they showed. Why shouldn’t I talk about Superman? He’s on the poster. https://encrypted-tbn0.gsta...
This, Gotham Knights and Avengers are all incredibly dissapointing 😞 WTH! What happened to the good ol' single player focused super hero/villain games? Looks like Spiderman is the only proper super hero game left. Everything else looks to be Gaas garbage. Hoping this isn't the case with this one and that future gameplay clarifies this.
They should have done a gameplay demo like Black Myth: Wukong devs. 2022 is pretty far, who knows what will happen till then :) Gotham knights seem to be Gaas, it could be as well?
Todays been such a disappointment for me. More evidence that I don't need a new console any time soon.
Holy shit Harley Quinn was annoying. Other than that looked good!
It's really sad that after 5 years they still showed 0 gameplay footage. By the time this game comes out it will have been 7 or more years since their last game. And people use to say The Last Guardian took forever to come out.
The last guardian did take forever tho. Duh!
Another Gaas game by the looks, focus on 4 players co-op says it all.I just want a good SP experience and by the looks we are Doom for crap Gaas games next generation. And it frankly looks bad!
Yeah I thought they might have done it Single Player but now I'm not sure Why do TWO games as live service, they could have just milked Gotham Knights and keep this as the game to please people. Now WB want to ruin two studios...good grief.
Easy it's about making as much money on the games as possible, and GaaS allows you to potentially make more, and AT&T (owner of WB) needs as much money as possible and as soon as possible to get out of the debt they've accumulated. Hence why they're trying to get these games out and make the money before selling the studios.
You do realize Coop does not equal GaaS, right?
You do realize that almost every AAA co-op game these days are GaaS right? right? right? right? Why does that trigger me so much lol (right?)
Seems like Batman protected us from GaaS all these years...
Looks amazing. The best next-gen graphics I’ve seen thus far.
Hmmmm that was CGI trailer
Why do you think that was a CGI trailer? It seems like in-engine footage.
@Lucas There is 100% no chance that was anything but a CGI trailer, we need to be be real here. It's the same old cinematic CGI reveal trailer that's been done to death for years.
Both of you are probably right. Looks like a scripted in-engine trailer. Which is pretty much a pre-rendered video, yes.
I’m going to try something different here then others. I look forward to seeing more details over the next year on this game and how it will play.
This looks more interesting to me than the new Batman game they announced
I don't see how you can come to that conclusion. The new batman game had actual gameplay, this is a flashy cgi trailer. The game could play in drastically different ways, we have no clue. At least for the knights game it looked like solid enough gameplay. My only gripe was that it had enemies that scaled with you.
@obvious gamer to me batgirl and robin are good enough to call their game a batman game. Yeah i get the actual batman is missing but i mean come on, they're wearing the same suits, they have the same skills and gadgets at their disposal pretty much. They still have alfred working behind the scenes for them, it's basically batman gen 2. edit: i'll tell you what i would have liked though, batman beyond game with future batman and bruce as the old man.
@phoenixwing Yea Batman beyond would be amazing. But I'm just not really much interested in playing within the Gotham/Batman setting as much anymore after 4 Batman games in the endless nighttime of gotham. I would like to see other places and characters expanded on. The inclusion of the justice league gives so much more potential for different settings and that's what I'm interested in. I have no issues with the gameplay in Batman, I like the action and traversal but I just want more varied setting honestly lol
What have they been doing all of these years? 2022 and no gameplay? Awful stream.
Well, according to rumors, they were developing pitches that usually got rejected by execs. A Superman pitch, an original IP pitch, etc.
Rejected an original IP and okay’ed suicide squad? That’s insane, I won’t believe it lol. I can believe it but I won’t. What a waste of an awesome studio. Get bought already WB games.
WB really turned down a Superman game? That's crazy. If anyone could make a cool Superman game it'd be Rocksteady.
My money is on this being released so late to give Gotham Knights a chance
I dunno. Seems like a wide birth for something like that. Giving GK a whole year plus is more than a chance. It’s self defeating. I don’t underestimate dumb exec decisions though.
The most exciting thing about that trailer was Outkast's B.O.B song playing. 2022? Damn.
Wasnt expecting that.
Cinematic trailer for a game 2 years away :(.... oh well.
F*CK, Another GAAS
Last gen: first person shooters Current gen: open world games Next gen: too early to tell but if I had to bet I would say GaaS crapola.
Ok, honestly, these DC games don't seem like my cup of tea. In fact, between this game, Gotham Knights, and Avengers, I don't see myself buying any of these games. Now in Suicide Squad's defense, I haven't seen gameplay yet. But I'm not holding my breath based on that trailer.
Gotham Knights for me so far
Looks good but I don't like how they seem to have taken a little inspiration from the awful film version, why not use Black and Red Harley Quinn from the Arkham games or have a comic accurate design of Deadshot like this, rather than basising it off the Will Smith version, he shouldn't really have his mask off much anyway
