Become a puzzling Mastermind with Peaky Blinders on Xbox One, PS4, Switch and PC

Neil writes: "It's pretty safe to say that Peaky Blinders has taken the TV watching audience by storm. Bursting onto the BBC and then Netflix, the exploits of the Shelby crew have captivated many, with no less than five series of the show already under its belt and a couple more still promised. But if you can't wait for the show to return for more viewing pleasures, there's another route you can take - get involved with the Shelby's in Peaky Blinders: Mastermind on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC."

Absolutely terrible. Just do away with GWG already. There's zero point to this anymore, especially with GP.

crazyCoconuts391d ago

So you'd prefer they continue to charge you $5 a month, but give you even less by dropping free games altogether?

gangsta_red391d ago

"...but give you even less by dropping free games altogether?"

If the games are of this caliber then yes, drop these. What is the point of having free games if the games are garbage.

crazyCoconuts391d ago (Edited 391d ago )

Think about it from a PR perspective if they take away the games.
#1 - they create an event that will draw attention to them taking something away without reducing the price. THEY ALREADY HAVE DONE THAT in quality, but it's not widely reported. Once they take the games away, it will get negative press that they can't avoid
#2 - at least now they can claim their $5/month service has parity with PS's $5/month service. It will look that way in any cursory analysis or in some simple comparison table. Only serious gamers know the difference. Once they take away these games, it will be overtly obvious to everyone that you're getting less with Xbox, and that's something they want to avoid.
So... keep giving away games that practically cost them nothing and keep milking the revenue from unsuspecting faithful Xbox users... that's the easiest way forward

gangsta_red391d ago

Well then a solution would be to have GP apart of the Live Subscription, which in my opinion should be the case.
I definitely agree with your points but at the same time while it may get negative attention, I think only the loud vocal minority that hate MS/Xbox regardless would make the biggest fuss. I think everyone else would be in agreement that the offerings they're currently giving and have been giving since GP's arrival wouldn't be miss.

crazyCoconuts391d ago

So something like this?
GamePass Basic: Online access + some selection of indies and BC games - $5.99 / month (goes up a bit)
GamePass Standard: Basic + all the rest of the games, except day 1 releases - 13.99 / month
GamePass Ultimate: same as today, with day 1 releases and COD - 16.99 / month

I'm assuming some increase in price because I'm thinking they'll need to to pull this off...

EvertonFC391d ago

That's the case anyway cause nobody is ever playing them, they've been crap every month for the most part.

gangsta_red391d ago (Edited 391d ago )

@Crazy Coconuts

That is way too convoluted. Just have GP apart of Live period.

@Gamereal

Apparently people would like to have some actual value for their dollar.

ChasterMies391d ago

Have you seen what PS+ Essential is handing out this month? Microsoft should Xbox Live Gold and make on-line play free for everyone.

crazyCoconuts390d ago

"Just have GP apart of Live period."
So... If you want to play online you have to pay a minimum of $15/month??

okay, now this is just continuing to be more depressing each month. Maybe it is intentional...? Drive the gold only users into the arms of GPU by making gold very unattractive.

crazyCoconuts391d ago

They're just making Playstation look better

Shane Kim391d ago

PS for april was pretty crap too though.

badz149390d ago

@Shane Kim

so it speaks volume when what you consider as "crap" on PS+ still s#!ts all over the similar xbox offerings

RpgSama391d ago

This is basically them going back to not giving any games whatsoever and still charging for the monthly service, just as it was before, I highly doubt even a small % of people actually download these games, probably in the single digits.

thesoftware730391d ago

They should just stop lol.

change the name to GP Gold and offer a few random games that are already on GP each month.
