The next Call of Duty game is Black Ops: Cold War

The latest game in the Black Ops series is here

Treyarch’s next installment in the Call of Duty franchise is a return to familiar territory. Earlier today, the developer released the first teaser trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops: Cold War.

crazyCoconuts1759d ago

That video sounds like what's going on now lol

1759d ago
Nodoze1759d ago

IT IS what is going on now. Anyone that thinks BLM has anything to do with black lives....is both naive AND stupid.

kryteris1759d ago

More like trump and his goons, but ya let's ignore all that clear and obvious hard fact's and blame it on minorities mistreatment.

Bruh1759d ago

@kryteris

Don't you know? White people are incapable of any harm on society, its only those damn ethnics

ThereGoThatManQ1759d ago

Ok bro and you are on offspring of incest.

Which one is more true?

Ignorant people like you are what plague this world. If you could only see outside your closed ass mind

Atticus_finch1759d ago

Well let's blame Trump for not being hard on Russia. But he wont/can't because he owes them too much money.

IGiveHugs2NakedWomen1759d ago

The country is in chaos and Donald Trump is president not BLM.

lazyboyblue1759d ago

Hang on Imma need my tin foil hat for this.

Thatgrammar1758d ago

@Nodoze
What are you insinuating? What is the BLM movement doing that is in anyway similar to what was shown in this video?

medman1758d ago

@nodoze
You're as weak as you are ignorant. Good luck with that.

xTonyMontana1758d ago (Edited 1758d ago )

Tell that to the black people who saw the video, 7 mins and 45 seconds I believe with that poor man having that cop's knee in his throat. Being white, I find it hard it to fathom how racism can exist in 2020 but it's obvious that many people feel victimised.

thesoftware7301758d ago (Edited 1758d ago )

@Nodoze
Meaning what exactly?

I must be slow because I cant match what your implication with the video.

Or maybe someone who upvoted him can explain.

esemce1758d ago

It's been going on for decades thanks to the Frankfurt school and cultural marxism.

DJStotty1758d ago (Edited 1758d ago )

Most of the BLM protesters are white, most of the rioters in those protesters are white.

BLM has been a political movement for at least 7 years. That is why they are not interested and will not listen when anyone mentions the black on black crime crisis in places like London.

blackbeld1758d ago

Another black ops. After 3 black ops disappointments l’ll skip this time.

DJStotty1758d ago

@xTonyMontana

Racism exists on all sides of the spectrum, white on black, black on white, black on black, white on white.

Slavery also exists on all sides in history, the ottoman empire and north africa had more white european slaves than there were black slaves in europe and the US combined.

White slavery was also the last trade to be eliminated in 1908, black slavery was abolished in the 1800's, so when people assume that only black people suffered at the hands of slave traders, they need to research history.

Common Knowledge for months. We did a radio segment on it months ago.

Profchaos1759d ago

Yeah but it's the first time we got an actual announcement from Activision. I actually do like the teaser also

Garethvk1759d ago

I think the Doritos bag was enough for me.

1758d ago
RazzerRedux1759d ago (Edited 1759d ago )

Guess your "radio segment" isn't getting much traction.

1758d ago
RedeemTK1759d ago

yeah guys, didnt you catch his radio segment??????

DonDon30001759d ago

Yay! More anti-Russian propaganda, when the U.S. actually started the cold war & vietnam.

Nodoze1759d ago

Shouldn't you be at a riot....err peaceful protest?

Bruh1759d ago

Damn who hurt you my man? Been ranting on and on about anti-blackness, something happen in your life?

thesoftware7301758d ago

@Nodoze

Did a black guy sleep with your woman?

xTonyMontana1758d ago

Well it is sort of relevant, Putn has been flirting with a war for a while now. Not sure about who started them but I'l never unsee that Napalm picture of that poor child.

Yawn, another year another COD game. Anything original? Next...

Zulu1759d ago

Your yawning because your life must be that boring you clicked on a call of duty article to complain about another call of duty!

343_Guilty_Spark1759d ago

Call of Duty: Crimea?

They running to thin on wars.

Newmanator1758d ago

What in your opinion would be acceptable? They’ve done World War 2, gone in the future with Advanced Warfare, gone in Space with Infinite Warfare, gone superhuman with Black Ops 3 & 4...what is original to you?

NeoGamer2321757d ago (Edited 1757d ago )

I actually think this looks pretty good. Hopefully it has a campaign that is as interesting as the story trailer.

Yes, COD is a yearly franchise but that doesn't mean it is not at all good.

FIFA, NBA 2K, NHL, and Madden are yearly as well. Yearly franchises can work.

Relientk771759d ago

If it's actually good like Black Ops 1, I might get it. We'll see

Profchaos1759d ago (Edited 1759d ago )

I've got my hope up for a black ops 1 style game based around the cold war era but they keep mentioning things like if you don't learn from history you're doomed to repeat it I wonder if it's an indication that the game is a modern game hope not as the cold war era is a gold mine of untapped potential for a game

I'm all for era switching in cod WW2, cold war, Korea, modern, futuristic even the early to mid 2000s just don't want to see the franchise go back down the route of releasing the same style game every year from black ops 2 to infinite warfare every game was a futuristic snoorefest for me.

Bruh1759d ago

I think its more so that the campaign is inspired by events that happened around that time, rather than something completely original

xTonyMontana1758d ago

I'm not holding my breath. I loved the TTK in the original Blops, it left a lot for player skill. I'd love to see a return to that.

Black ops 4, because it was the last cod of duty I was able to dominate with a +2 k/d ratio. Before all the freaking cheating started to happen. It was nice catching people off guard and shooting at them first and getting the kill. Unlike now, where I shoot people first, but they gun me down with less hits, less time, literally feels like they can kill me in a split second. At times, they are able to run away after me shooting them way more than necessary, yet, the second I'm spotted, I'm dead, there's no me running away to cover. They can do cartwheels, summersaults, backflips and gun you down perfectly. They can shoot you across the map with perfect accuracy. They can jump around like morons and gun you down without even having to correct their aim. They have superman split second perfect reactions. That's the best way to describe it, everything they do is spot on perfect. They can spam and spray (no praying) their gun from far away, because they have no recoil or bullet spread. It always feels like I have to aim and also correct my aim when moving around, while these pricks don't have to do the same.

And yes, I know how to play fps games. I dominated many fps games like: Resistance 1&2, kz 2&3, Socom, MAG, Crysis, Gotham City Impostors, blitz brigade etc. all with 2-4 k/d ratio. Kz2 (lag input controls) and resistance (no aim assist in resistance) being the hardest and were the games I reached either close to a 3 k/d ratio or above.

I truly got to enjoy blacks ops 4 and got my money's worth out of it. Afterwords, I would either stop playing cod games after a while, because of the cheating, or would skip buying cod games for a year or two before buying another.

Another great month imo. The COD campaign on this one was great fun. I've never played Alan Wake, so a PS5 version of that is a perfect way to prepare for the next one...

taurul716d ago

You're in for a treat with Alan Wake. It still holds after so many years.
For me it's the best psychological thriller I've ever played that is not Silent Hill.
Alan Wake 2 is my most wished sequel of all time, waiting for it since 2010...

bloop716d ago (Edited 716d ago )

Sweet!! I never got around to playing it on the 360 but always wanted to. Looking forward to next month!!

Crows90715d ago

Agreed. You see I'm surprised that Microsoft hasn't bought remedy...of all the studios in their list....I'd assume remedy would be an obvious based on real actual relationships.

I liked Alan Wake and am super excited for Alan Wake 2. Hopefully turns out great ..I've actually liked ALL of their games including quantum break...except for the TV show part.

Christopher716d ago

I've never bought a CoD game, but now due to PS+, I 'rent' like 8 of them or so. I played one a few times with my nephews. Still not my cup of tea. But, it's interesting to see how many CoD games PS+ can throw at me.

LG_Fox_Brazil716d ago

Pretty damn good, I almost bought Alan Wake last month, glad I held my wallet

REDGUM716d ago

I picked up my copy of it 2nd hand just last Saturday. agghhh. If only I had waited just a little more longer.

Knushwood Butt716d ago

Me too, it's been on my wishlist for months. Glad I held out!

Elda716d ago

A pass for me due to playing Cold War & Alan Wake already.

phoenixwing716d ago

Glad I didn't buy cold war or Alan wake. Now I can enjoy them for the stories

Kassanova07716d ago

I was curious about both. Great timing!
