What's up with these EA Remasters?
They were absent at the lackluster EA Play Live June event.
Yet, they're cropping up for pre-orders.

An Underground 1 & 2 Remaster collection would sell better

neutralgamer1992158d ago

Yes along with original most wanted

SickSinceSix158d ago

Agreed but we'd be lucky to get 2 in one release, let alone 3 games, this is EA after all

MajorLazer158d ago

Not even close. How old are you?

BrainSyphoned158d ago (Edited 158d ago )

My first racing game played was Pole Position at Shaky’s Pizza. Am I old enough to have an opinion about arcade racers?

LucasRuinedChildhood158d ago

Nah. Hot Pursuit was amazing. If you play Hot Pursuit, Underground 2 and Most Wanted back to back, HP obviously has the best racing. That's what Criterion fans care about.

So when it comes to the question of, 'Which game was the most fun?", HP is a valid pick.

At the very least, no NFS game in the last 10 years (mostly attempts to emulate Underground) were half as good.

NarooN158d ago

I've been playing NFS since the 90s. Hot Pursuit 2010 is easily one of the best in the series and is in my personal top 3 in the series. Critical reception was some of the highest in the series history and it sold very well as well, which is probably why this remaster is one of the first in the series history to be done.

It captured the essence of the late 90s NFS games quite well with dashes of HP2 in there as well. Great game and it's not bad just because it's not the 57th underground nightlife street ricer game lol

Razmiran158d ago (Edited 158d ago )

Its not my favourite but it was pretty good and I can see it being someone elses favourite
It really was a fun game from the start, old Most Wanted and Underground 2 were great but the career mode took a bit to rev up

Blade92158d ago (Edited 158d ago )

Sorry but this one is definitely one of the best NFS since Most Wanted at least. Everything from Carbon at least up till 2010 HP is trash.

I liked the old ones and even the new Hot pursuit way more than underground games. Just a preference.

@MajorLazer Don't know about him/her, but I'm 32.

BrainSyphoned158d ago

Pretty much the only one I remember playing so it gets my vote.

Sgt_Slaughter158d ago

I would play more NFS games like Hot Pursuit 2, Underground 1 & 2, and Most Wanted 2005. Those are mile ahead.

LucasRuinedChildhood158d ago

It was definitely the last great NFS game

Who is asking for this? Where is Underground and the original Most Wanted?

SickSinceSix158d ago

I imagine they picked a 7th gen game because it would take less effort to bring it up to modern standards. Probably the same reason we got a Burnout Paradise remaster and not a Burout 3: Takedown one

Retroman158d ago

I'd like remastered Highstakes,Hotpursuit 2 , Underground and original Mostwanted.

Serious question: who asked for this? I liked the ps3 hot pursuit game, but wasn’t that already supposed to be the remaster/remake? Why are we getting another one of these?

What does EA have against The underground series? Every year I hold out out a little bit of hope and am let down in pretty glorious fashion. 😟

Kaze88158d ago

Plenty of people did. They made new version of most wanted and heat was supposed to be the "underground" and those sold poorly. They just don't know what it actually was that made those old versions of them special. On the other hand new remake of most wanted was more popular than the new "most wanted", so I guess that is why they chose this.

Still waiting for SSX3 Remake EA.

NarooN158d ago

Hot Pursuit 2010 wasn't a remake of anything. It was just a return to the series roots before it became almost exclusively centered around Fast & Furious style street racing.
