Nah. Hot Pursuit was amazing. If you play Hot Pursuit, Underground 2 and Most Wanted back to back, HP obviously has the best racing. That's what Criterion fans care about.
So when it comes to the question of, 'Which game was the most fun?", HP is a valid pick.
At the very least, no NFS game in the last 10 years (mostly attempts to emulate Underground) were half as good.
I've been playing NFS since the 90s. Hot Pursuit 2010 is easily one of the best in the series and is in my personal top 3 in the series. Critical reception was some of the highest in the series history and it sold very well as well, which is probably why this remaster is one of the first in the series history to be done.
It captured the essence of the late 90s NFS games quite well with dashes of HP2 in there as well. Great game and it's not bad just because it's not the 57th underground nightlife street ricer game lol
Its not my favourite but it was pretty good and I can see it being someone elses favourite It really was a fun game from the start, old Most Wanted and Underground 2 were great but the career mode took a bit to rev up
I imagine they picked a 7th gen game because it would take less effort to bring it up to modern standards. Probably the same reason we got a Burnout Paradise remaster and not a Burout 3: Takedown one
Serious question: who asked for this? I liked the ps3 hot pursuit game, but wasn’t that already supposed to be the remaster/remake? Why are we getting another one of these?
What does EA have against The underground series? Every year I hold out out a little bit of hope and am let down in pretty glorious fashion. 😟
Plenty of people did. They made new version of most wanted and heat was supposed to be the "underground" and those sold poorly. They just don't know what it actually was that made those old versions of them special. On the other hand new remake of most wanted was more popular than the new "most wanted", so I guess that is why they chose this.
Hot Pursuit 2010 wasn't a remake of anything. It was just a return to the series roots before it became almost exclusively centered around Fast & Furious style street racing.
As an Arcade racing fan I am happy to hear something is coming out in that genre. I enjoyed Hot Pursuit it blended the Burnout N4S better than any of the other N4S Titles when they tried it.
This was leaked last month actually. Bit silly imo, people would be far more excited about a Hot Pursuit 2 (2002) or Underground/Most Wanted as a remaster.
What's up with these EA Remasters?
They were absent at the lackluster EA Play Live June event.
Yet, they're cropping up for pre-orders.
An Underground 1 & 2 Remaster collection would sell better
OMG yes. Best NFS easily.
Who is asking for this? Where is Underground and the original Most Wanted?
