Well PlayStation is the best place to play.

SullysCigar43d ago (Edited 43d ago )

Maybe you should listen to it, since you've already acknowledged it's 'right'...

My right foot scores goals, your right foot gives you proper advice. We are both lucky. Although Im a little worried that your foot is where you get your best ideas.

I'm just here remembering Red's words.

RpgSama43d ago

I'll be completely honest, for me as a PlayStation user this is only reinforcing my decision that PlayStation IS the best place to play, for me it's not anti-consumer, for me and for every other playstation only user, it's pro-consumer, that's Business

gamer780443d ago

Its pro Sony only, as a PS player you would be better off if the spiderman character came to Xbox and pc. This would open up more opportunities for spiderman as a character and make crossplayy easier to implement. For noe spiderman will be relegated to a lesser class character with lesser interactions with the rest of the marvel team stories. But you are righabout one thing. Tghatbis how Sony chooses to do business and it is their right

IRetrouk43d ago (Edited 43d ago )

Why are you still making stuff up? You got this info from me yesterday but seeing as you want to continue to spread lies I will keep posting the links proving you wrong.

Crossplay? No such thing planned.
"We love the idea of cross-platform play," Escayg told Shacknews. "It's not something that we are currently doing."

Spiderman is getting his own event that brings him into the wider Avengers world.
"When Spider-Man comes to our stable of heroes, we’ll be marking his debut with an in-game event that will introduce him to the wider world of Marvel’s Avengers."

Also if its pro sony, hows it bad for playstation gamers? How does that make sense? Its pro playstation consumer.

Sonys not the only one choosing to do business this way..
22 timed launch exclusives.....

rainslacker42d ago

For me, I'd rather just see the practice die across the board. But since it isnt likely to, I'm just indifferent most of the time. Full games being timed exclusive is about the only one I get worked up about

RaidenBlack43d ago

I heard in Marvel's Avengers on Nintendo you get to play as Batman.

gamer780442d ago

perhaps in this case, but to be honest, it could have been an even better place to play had Spiderman been released on PC and Xbox. now he's relegated to a third-class character

Nobody seemed fussed about this game until the gave us something "exclusive" to lord over.

This. I recall that the general consensus was that this game would be ass. Now that Spiderman is exclusive, fanboys on both sides are getting emotional....over something neither of them claimed to be interested in just a few weeks ago.

zeuanimals43d ago

They've leveraged the console warz to boost their marketing. I don't think I've ever seen that. This game could've been a flop because nobody gave a shit or talked about it. Now, it's the biggest discussion.

Ausbo43d ago

It’s because they tied the biggest marvel superhero behind exclusivity.

If this doesn’t get called out, it will continue.

rainslacker42d ago (Edited 42d ago )

I'm still not interested in the game. I love SM as much as the next guy, and avengers I like well enough, but i feel absolutely nothing about the direction of this game. At no point has it impressed me.

I may try it out and change my mind, but the SM exclusivity is more a curiosity to sometimes ponder or discuss philosophical principals in relation to current trends within the game industry...which I find much more interesting than the avengers game itself.

For the record though, I'm generally against these kinds of deals. Not because of how it impacts consumers, but because I feel it's mostly just wasted money, and seeing some other similar ones that cost tens of millions of dollars, I question if it's really worth spending that much on

RazzerRedux43d ago

Well, they say there is no such thing as bad publicity so...

Christopher43d ago

That argument goes both ways.

NeoGamer23242d ago

Crystal Dynamics is a pretty solid developer and they haven't really had success outside of Tomb Raider. Until recently I was ignoring this game.

It looks interesting, but I am not sure yet. From the videos I've seen the graphics and framerates appear suspect. I will wait until after it releases and make a decision from there. Although I am not impressed by the exclusivity, I will buy it if it is a good game. Platform TBD based on what is in the exclusivity and how important that is to the best experience.

Sony is being confident and showing how valuable it is to invest in exclusive content.
