Those of you who want some portable power in the form of a classic side-scrolling bullet bonanza will likely be pleased with "Metal Slug 7."
Yes, you can get it in Xbox Live. No, there is no two-player co-op.
But it's still Metal Slug, and it's still a blast.
The game lures you into a state of cartoon violent bliss in the opening few levels and then – true to form – starts to ratchet up the difficulty. This is not the greatest campaign you're ever going to play, but it's nice that you can level surf once you beat the game. You can also play an extensive series of training missions that will have you flirting with Cynthia. It's weird, but does not detract from the satisfaction of the addition of extra content.
