F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch New Story Trailer Version Now with Dialogue

bilibli and TiGames release a new version of the story trailer for upcoming video game F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch, which now has voiced dialogue.

it looks very nice and clean with lots of details, the atmosphere looks effing great , but wasn't expecting a sidescroller , it would it be awesome if it was fully 3d action game while retaining all those details of the environment and 60 fps, nonetheless it looks great even thou it starring a bunch of furries, the women cat or bunny whatever it is looks hot lol, I kid I kid :D

I’m genuinely amazed by how good this looks to me. Game went from unheard of to a day one buy in one trailer.

The reason it looks so good is that what you are seeing in the background is not real-time lighting. I've done projection mapping/painting a lot, many games do in the far background and specific scenarios, but since this game is a 2D side scroller they can do it everywhere. The geometry is simple but enough to give parallax / depth. So it all the background you see is using one texture, rather than 4 (albedo, specular or metalness, roughness, and normal map). The cinematics are pre-rendered to fit in with the style of the rest of the game, reason I can tell is that current gen can't handle drawing hair/fur those cinematics do. If you've seen the UE hair demo of a blond woman running in real-time, that's a tech that will probably/hopefully be used in next-gen games a year or two down the road.

If you go all the way, you can really give the impression that it's a real-time lit background by just putting assets in here and there.

I don't mean anything negative when saying this, it's still a gorgeous game and looks pretty fun but the graphics wouldn't be possible on a standard xbox one or ps4 if it was turned into a third person game.

Btw, whatever happened to Last Night from a couple of E3's ago? Loved the art style and the mood. Felt very Blade Runner. https://www.youtube.com/wat...
