I don't think that will be in store at Gamestop tomorrow. I had to order mine over the web from Gamestop. Local stores have a December date for in store. So does Amazon. I ordered mine Friday and it arrived today.

The pad works like a charm. It has it's own battery and doesn't draw off the controller. It can be used unattached. Also you can press the center button on the bottom and the center of the pad will operate like a mouse touch pad. Shortcuts for Home usage, friends list, etc. The damn thing handles slick as hell. For being on top I though it would be awkward but it is actually easier to use than my 360 pad.

By snapping on and off so fast you can switch it between pads when your battery runs low. The PS3 controller port/charge slot is open so you can play n charge while using the pad.

Kind of weird that its on the top. Morgan do you use your index fingers to type? On the 360 its on the bottom of the controller so I use my thumbs to type. Would seem kind of weird to use your index fingers to type. But if you use your thumbs it would be hassle because you would have to bring the controller down to get to your thumbs!

Thanks Gunner. I got that on a special. At the time I bought it the 52 inchers were running 3999. Then for one week Best Buy dropped the price to 2999. I had just started my search for another TV and I walked right into that. It's an XBR. it's a 120hz, and it's a Sony. Sold.

@Thor. Yes it works great in Home becuase it was sepcifically designed for that.

For those that aren't aware of it, there are more buttons on the shoulder of the key pad.

Thanks morganfell, i'll be getting this for Home since i dont voice chat at that great length with random people only friends.

Looks very solid and slick with it's black color.

Gonna pick up 2 of these tomorrow

i think gamestop owns them.....so yeah

Close_Second6055d ago

...why did they not follow the 360's lead and design it to fit between the palm rests of the controller. It looks plain silly hanging off the front of the controller and it also means you can't easily use it without changing your entire grip on the controller.

jaysquared6055d ago

Probably because of all the copy catting Sony has been doing off XBL/360 with PSN/PS3 they didn't want to make it obvious that the 360 is their inspiration.

ElementX6055d ago (Edited 6055d ago )

That does look pretty tacky. How come it's up on top? The 360 keypad doesn't have an ugly plastic piece that wraps around to hold it on. I bought the 360 one and it works great. I'll just use some sort of keyboard for my PS3 unless they redesign this thing.

Johnny Rotten6055d ago (Edited 6055d ago )

If I'm not mistaken you don't even need to have it attached to your controller. Still too much money for me though.

The score for the first Plants Vs Zombies is such great, iconic music that it has a timeless quality. Not quite the level of Minecraft, but wonderful in its own right.
