Tips For Playing Ghost Of Tsushima

As Jin Sakai, one of Tsushima’s last surviving samurai, you’re singularly tasked with the goal of repelling an entire Mongol fleet. No sweat, right?

morganfell1375d ago

Why would I give clicks to or want tips from a website that didn't think much of this game?

Belbrock911374d ago

Because gaming websites have multiple writers, with different personalities and different tastes. Just because the review on the site was negative does not mean every writer for the site hated the game

morganfell1374d ago

Doesn’t matter. This site should have an editorial process and policy to prevent that instead of allowing writers to push out unsupported personal views then when the damage is done come crawling back begging for a click. This isn’t Aunt May’s writing and knitting group. This is supposedly a major game news site. When they act like it and demonstrate some professionalism things might change.

Belbrock911374d ago

Oh my.. well.. my apologies. Apparently you are an expert on the subject and run the most professional site on the web. What was it called again?

Besides, it's not like the writer is throwing out praise for the game and breaking the website bro-code or whatever. It's Tips and Tricks. It's content. Or would you prefer they just ignore one of the biggest releases of the year because the site didn't like the game? Would that not be even more unprofessional?

morganfell1374d ago (Edited 1374d ago )

I do not have to be a manure salesman to know BS when I smell it. Editorial policies do not require expertise to recognize whether or not they exist. A site either has these or else they are just a hub of individuals spewing out their thoughts without consequence. And that responsibility of the press is to the readers, not to themselves and their own delusions of importance. And there should be repercussions for immoderation. Gamepsot is another site that has forgotten this little fact.

Belbrock911374d ago

@morganfell So what? So what if a site wants to "spew" individual theories? So what if it doesn't meet your exacting standards? It's 2020. It's the internet. Both are DEFINED by individual thought and expression. There is no reason to take that out on the author - who, if you'd even bothered to read the article - provides some great tips.

Clearly you take issue with the running of these sites. You should send your grievances to them directly instead of hiding in a comment section on a third-party site

morganfell1374d ago

No one is hiding. This has been my stance since I have been here. And you act as if no one, including me has ever contacted them...repeatedly. It does not good. Cutting into their revenue is the only thing they understand.

And so what? Gaming is a hobby I love and these self interested self promoting imbeciles are damaging that hobby. Ever play a great game that got a sequel that was nothing like the original or no sequel at all? It isn't always the sales. In addition it is developers having to pay attention to review scores in order to gain a bonus so they end up building a title for reviewers rather than the mainstream gaming crowd. And look who is paying attention to what someone said on the internet. So thought and expression are only for game sites? Hypocrite much?

I don't agree with any of this. Just because they didn't think highly of the game doesn't mean they should stop writing all forms of articles for it. Its a video game website. They know they have people visiting the site that liked the game. Why would they want those people to go elsewhere for tips on this game?

Its like owning a grocery store. I doubt the owners like all the food they sell, but they have customers to serve. It would be completely unprofessional to not carry certain foods because YOU don't like them, knowing full well you have customers that do.

This is no different.

I would be on it. Especially if they change up the gameplay to differentiate from first game. Loved the first.

Currently enjoying Rise of Ronin.

blackblades26d ago

Both have different gameplay but it amazes me how people kept comparing just because they both are samurai. Seems kinda ...... that im not gonna mention.

Cacabunga26d ago

Bend studios making a gaas game and getting lot of negative comments abt that direction.
I hope these stay faithful to making amazing SP games..

Demetrius26d ago

Definitely getting ronin soon, I'm on my 2nd playthrough of GOT on ps5 this time🔥

-Foxtrot27d ago

Probably my most anticipated to be announced

I hope Jinns story continues and we get way more stealth tactics like dragging bodies away and the like.

Lightning7727d ago

I fully expect this game to be announced. Late 2025 release perhaps.

Either way I can't wait for its announcement at Sony's showcase.

Friendlygamer26d ago (Edited 26d ago )

I'm hoping for more complex interior level design for stealth gameplay and also a more complex stance system that's more than rock paper and scissor for each enemy type

RhinoGamer8826d ago

I have stopped pre-ordering games since Cyberpunk 2077 fiasco...this is a game I will make an exception for...

Ghost of Tsushima is one of my favorite games all time. Hard to live up to that. Not all games are going to be equivalent to some of the best games ever and that’s ok. It is a natural comparison though

Killer2020UK27d ago

Totally agree, as a jaded gamer well into his 30s I didn't think games could hit like Ghost it Tsushima did. I actively avoided story missions in order to pursue every single side quest purely because I didn't want it to end. I wanted to be immersed in that world for as long as it lasted.

JangoMan25d ago

I hate open world games. Its clutter and fatigue. Except GoT.. I completed every thing before going into next main mission. The feeling of playing the game was.... I cant explain. It was perfect

raWfodog27d ago

My favorite jaw-dropping moment was obtaining the Ghost stance. Epic.

JangoMan25d ago

Agreed. Its the dream come true for fans of Samurai and Japan feudal age.

Andrew33627d ago

Got was good but super repetitive.

Juiceid27d ago

Arguably every game is repetitive.

Rise Of The Rōnin review - Ghost of Nioh - Metro

An enjoyable counterpart to Ghost Of Tsushima, with some truly excellent combat, but the bloated open world elements can often suffocate your enjoyment.
