Assassin's Creed Valhalla To Feature More Modern-Day Segments

The news no fan wants to hear. You’ll be pulled from your Viking raiding and thrown into the present as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla promises more modern-day gameplay than Origins or Oddessy.

Ever since the first game, Assassin’s Creed has always featured some sort of present-day game-play. Playing as Desmond up until Assassin’s Creed III to an unknown Abstergo Employee in Black Flag, Unity and Syndicate. These segments have largely been loathed by fans, who just want to be immersed in the Assassin experience.

This game looks like straight butt cheeks

TheSocietalAnomaly75d ago

Which are less useful than gay butt cheeks, amiright?

anast75d ago

I haven't heard that in awhile lol

Most people simply don't want or care for the modern-day parts of Assassin Creed games. Ubisoft should add a option that disables all modern-day crap from the games. They shouldn't force something that most people don't want to play.

Honestly, as time goes by, Valhalla looks more and more like a purchase on heavy sale game.

Get ready for the first true next-gen Assassin's Creed then.

It'll instantly transform the world between the past and present day. Looting a cave? Glitch in the Animus and you're now in a concrete jungle of a corrupt corporation's laboratory's super-secret basement.

Nothing like knowing you are getting ready to start that mission you've been waiting to experience only to find yourself yanked into the present to inhabit the body of a perpetual whiner with broken mechanics as you are forced to slog through some alter ego mock up of the Ubisoft offices.

Easter eggs! There'll be a cute Rayman plushie and a Sam Fisher figure, just so they know you'll know they know about the franchises, even though we all know they don't really care about them.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I actually didn't mind the present day segments, as long as they didn't drag on too much. Added more context to the story.

philm8775d ago

Yeah I liked them too, but they could just perhaps be done a little better and made more interesting.

Gheritt_White75d ago

To be fair, they've gone downhill since AC: Syndicate.

King_Noctis75d ago

Ughhh...why can't they ditch the stupid modern day stuff and feature only the Viking era?

SyntheticForm75d ago

You'd think they would have done the opposite and left the Abstergo crap out?

I couldn't give a damn about Layla, or any other nonsense animus crap.
