Far Cry 6 special editions and pre-order bonuses were detailed ahead of the game's launch on 18 February 2021 and we've got all the info you need below.
Typical Ubisoft. Announce a game with a CG trailer. Show no gameplay but immediately have a number of game editions available le for preorder
Yeah, I end up buying Ubi games a year later for half the price with all DLCs. Don't get me wrong they ARE fun, but not worth 100 bucks for all DLCs
Yep I'm still playing through Odyssey which I got with all DLC for $30~. Next year I'll pick up Valhalla with all DLC for a similar price.
300 bucks lol. I like how they pushed the physical gold copies to 110 so they could still charge 100 for the digital gold.
300 for a non functional flamethrower :(
Wait a few years and buy it for $10 on a sale or something.
Ubisoft's games, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, etc. these days are as soulless as they come. Ubisoft is the most soulless company, trying to be under the guise of the good gaming company, which has worn off completely by now.
i kinda feel bad for the actual developers who make these games. I'm sure they've got many ideas and new things they would like to make but they are stuck making the same games repeatedly since those guarantee money for the company. sad in a way
I think it would be awesome to be a researcher on AC games. I just bought a book about the historic Assassins and Templars and how they were both driven underground into secret societies. The surviving Templars became pirates that became masons. The Muslim assassins still exist as the Nizari Ismailis. AC was a great franchise in terms of history games sprinkled with conspiracy. Nothing is stopping a creative AC game because there is too much source material. I hope Valhalla returns to those roots, history and mystery. Working on crew would suck though you are right.
I hate Ubisoft!
You shouldn't be as petty as 'hating' an entertainment company. Just ignore their products if you don't like them...
Go F yourself ubisoft.
Couldn’t agree more!
Nothing like a spreadsheet to track all the editions.
AUD pricing scares me. And, as usual, wait for a sale on this stuff. I tend to get the super deluxe, we didn't hold anything back edition for about US$40.
AUD pricing would be like 150 for gold if 5 was 120 for gold
Actually I can see pre orders are up for Australia and $150 for gold $160 for Ultimate and $100 for standard. Ouch
Ooh, the ultimate pack! Go f yourself, Ubi.
For that price UBI I would expect the flamethrower to actually work!
Learnt a hard lesson with far cry 5 the DLC sucked. New Dawn was probably DLC for it until like blood Dragon it got to good to not be standalone. In the end with 5 we got a weird Vietnam mode which was laughable bad and basically something that a kid could make in a map editor. The Mars missions which was at least more story driven and was the only pack I got some enjoyment from. The zombie pack which was like a budget left for dead and should of been left for dead
Only UBI would think this is OK. The prices are ridiculous $109 just to have the SP included only, nothing else just SP jacks the price up over $109 hell no. Than there's the CE of a console pretty much $300+. UBI aspects people to pay $300 for CE over new XSX or PS5 where the $300 would go to.
Ubisoft: We promise this Far Cry game won't have crappy fetch missions! Believe us!
They said far cry 5 wouldn't have towers. First thing you do in the tutorial island is climb a mobile phone tower. At least i could fly a chopper directly to the top in 5.
If the Far Cry 5 DLC was anything to go by, only the base game will be worth it anyway.
Ughh I can’t stand Ubisoft!
aaand I'll get the complete version 2 years later for half price
Game will be fun. Don't act like it won't. I'll use the 20% off code from Ubisoft and get it for PC. AC Odyssey season pass was worth it by far and was in the same ballpark as Witcher 3 DLC, but I didn't think Far Cry 5 season pass was worth it. I'm not so sure on Watch Dogs either. For non-hardcore gamers, get the full edition for $20-$30 a year later and gorge on it.
