I would love to see them perfect what Alpha Protocol couldn't. ND are among the cream of the crop when it comes to action games. To integrate what they're already good at with a modern world rpg would be fantastic imo.

Not all rpg’s require excessive menu time. A lot of players enjoy a bit of strategy & prep going into certain encounters, versus the same old shooting galleries we’ve been getting for 20+ years where you either button mash or hold down a trigger

There is this concept of modern fantasy that you see in games like final fantasy... i would love to see some modern dark fantasy from ND, something that give us the magic of fantasy but than stikes us down whit cruel and dark reality.

Just so you know I’m not hating. I get that millennials can’t accept differing opinions, but not everyone has to have the same opinion.
Naughty dog tells great stories but they have never been strong gameplay wise. I don’t like button mashing either, just fun and engaging gameplay. The shooting mechanics in the uncharted games are very subpar. It’s the same with the last of us.

Naughty dog does great work with animation and story (although i don’t think the story in tlof 2 is even remotely competent. It was very obviously trying to pander to a certain demo.) but their gameplay mechanics have never been good.

I disagree with you in some ways and agree in others. You’re correct in that with the quality and talent of that developer, they need to move on and tackle projects where if it’s going to take them 5 years to make, it needs to be MASSIVE (not necessarily open world, but massive in scope and content). Their talents are being wasted focusing on the wrong things. I’d far rather have more fun things to do in a game rather than their team spending months making pebbles on the ground look good which serves no purpose whatsoever. Focus a tad less on photorealism and more on gameplay and game world building. They could literally accomplish anything they want with the talent they have

What I don’t agree with is that their gameplay is not fun. It’s excellent in my opinion. If what you’re saying is that when you look back on all of their games, they do seem to focus on shorter, platforming experiences, than I can’t argue with that either. They do need to move on from that. It’s something a smaller studio should be tasked with not a studio like Naughty Dog

The First of Us: The Precursor Legacy, the first days of the cordycep outbreak. Set in the play style and world setup, aesthetic of Jax and Daxter where you have to collect orbs of the virus in an attempt to stop the outbreak. Zany guns and lots of platforming, racing and boss battles, starring a young Joel and Tommy. Meeting characters like Tess, Bill and Ish along the way.

Add some fun depth/mechanics in a game other than shooting enemies, finding collectibles that serve absolutely no purpose, and choosing upgrades from simplistic skill trees. Xenoblade needs some healthy competition for Sony fans, and they have their own 1st party rpg they could learn from in Dark Cloud 2 or Rogue Galaxy. Combing weapons, crafting, town building, creatures to collect, townspeople to recruit and loads of other (optional) things to do (other than side quests where you do more of exactly what the story asks of the player) should be welcome in all games. Depending on the quality & passion of the developer, why would anyone argue against this. Makes no logical sense

For the sequel, sideline male character for female and add some poc that kicks main characters ass to show spotlight. Heavy hand feed some sjw points peppered thru out game. Somewhere in game have main character pic up a polygon magazine and mention how insightful it is.

Easy to answer. We need is The Last Of Us 3, 4 and 5. Forget Uncharted series, I really love the apocaliptc world of TLOU. The gameplay is fantastic and the stories that Naughty Dog tells are mindbreaking. I think we dont need right now the continuation of Ellies stories. But it is a new world with a lot more of people who deserve to have their stories told.
