If you've been waiting to compete for social networking likes in a tripped out post-apocalypse version of America on PC, Death Stranding should scratch that itch in a couple of more weeks
DLSS 2.0 is a huge step up and really shows how much resources are usually wasted on native resolutions. Since it's using deep learning, DLSS is going to get even better as time goes on. It'll be interesting to see if AMD has a corresponding reconstruction method for their next gen cards. So far they only have the FidelityFX CAS, which often does a surprisingly good job, but as far as I understand it's basically a sharpening filter so it's not capable of resolving subpixel detail like a reconstruction method can.
But can we expect to see all of AAA games using DLSS in the future ? Should anyone buying a new gpu get a budget GTX for the time being, or should he get an RTX already ?
At this specific point in time, waiting is the best thing to do. Next-gen RTX GPUs are around the corner. If waiting is off the table for some reason (middle of summer... No major PC releases till Fall now), go for the RTX 2060 or its Super version, because now enough games support the feature. I'd bet that Horizon will use DLSS 2.0 too. Would be a dumb omission since the engine clearly works with it
In case you're wondering, Cyberpunk 2077 will use DLSS 2.0 too.
