Neil Druckmann speaks about what the PlayStation 5 will offer to developers.
uncharted 5 will be awsome on ps5 just after finishing last of us 2 they can take it to another level with power ps5
They won't make uncharted . Been hinted something new in make for years now
A lot of rumors of Savage Starlight coming to fruition, hell, they had loads of things about it in TLOU2. Honestly hoping that Savage Starlight is like Uncharted but in space :)
@Rimeskeem. Would be glad if its Savage Starlight. Something similar familiar like uncharted but new characters, worlds to keep things fresh. Only question I have is type of game
I was thinking maybe some superhero game based on the card collectible from TLOU2. It seemed pretty developed given it was a collectible within the game. back stories for lots of charaters and so on. Maybe it's part of savage starlight, and it's been suggested for years they should make a savage starlight game.
@Rimeskeem It'd be sweet if they made Star Wars 1313, but without the Star Wars things.
@joeojoejoe Lol. I initially read that as 'Star Wars 313' and I was like "Why would anyone want to make Star Wars in Detroit?"
Yeah uncharted has been done to death now, They need to make a new IP
Last episode still the best one in the series. They ended it with a bang.. I won't be surprised if a new one gets announced.. A bit like uncharted 4 came from nowhere
I want more Uncharted. I don't care if Sony hands it off to another of their studios and I'm happy to wait for a few years. It's just too good to write off as complete!
Uncharted: The Sullivan chronicles
I wouldn’t mind more, in fact, there is something about the lure of adventure in that game that just doesn’t get old for me.
@bouzebbal You think so? I didn't like it nearly as much as the others. You could definitely tell Amy wasn't in charge of it, it had quite a different feel. Uncharted 2 is my favourite.
So has Mario and Halo... 🤷
Good god! The things they can achieve!!!
It needs to rest and drake is retired no need to drag it on like halo. If they did I were prefer a standalone like lost legacy. Its best to move on for now.
I want to see another Uncharted but another spin off. Maybe the adventure of Sully & Sam.
I really liked Lost Legacy so I wouldn't mind seeing Chloe and Nadine return in a full game. However it won't be Naughty Dog making it. Sony has supposedly created a new studio to continue the Uncharted franchise.
Naughty Dog is unexpected to return to Uncharted, as the studio said Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy were the final games in the series they planned to work on. However, a different studio could come in to make Uncharted 5.
What more could they do with Uncharted? Other than add a different protagonist which in my opinion would be a mistake
There are quite a few interesting side characters they could explore. Chloe, Sully, maybe even a prequel with Elena. There is also his daughter who the epilogue they gave her the exploration bug. So she could set off on her own adventure.
The sky's the limit at this point; they have the talent and the expertise, and now they have the PS5. We'll see what happens.
I would love to see Naughty Dog create an open world Uncharted game. Take advantage of all that SSD speed.
I hope they are working on Savage Starlight. A sci-fi setting game that is a bit comical.
I was thinking they could make a super hero game in the universe of the cards you collect in TLOU2. That could be pretty sweet.
There's already an Uncharted game that's partly open world.
Need a new IP from them. It's rumored they're considering a Sci-fi IP They can make an uncharted entry later on.
Let specialists of open world make them. Let ND focus on AAA sorry driven SP games. Sony Bend did an outstanding job with Days Gone, a sequel is highly anticipated!!!
@goldwyncq Nah....Uncharted 4 was still linear with bigger areas, but that's not open world. @bouzebbal Well, GG wasn't a "specialist" in open world before Horizon Zero Dawn. I think ND could do a damn good job creating a single player story driven open world game.
RazzerRedux: good point, but imo i do not think ND are qualified for that. For me the weak moments in Uncharted 4 were the open world sections (4x4 in Madagascar).. despite being a graphical marvel, it felt so empty and bored me. same goes in the open areas in TLOU2, i was desperately looking for the way forward i didn't want to explore.
I'm going to have to disagree, the best part of Uncharted is that they travel around and the varied set pieces. You know City Jungle Tomb ect.
I do not ever want an open world game from Naughty dog, tbh. there are enough open world games, and more open does not necessarily mean better. The open world section of tlou 2 was my least favorite part of the game. Yes, I would like to see them include more potential paths for progressing through their worlds, but I feel a big part of the appeal in a naughty dog game is being guided through their cafefully crafted levels and narratives by the hands of their expert level designers.
First it was "no loading screens" now its "almost no loading screens", lol, its fast but not that fast.
No storage is as fast as RAM. Wait for the technology to evolve. 3D XPoint technologies look promising.
Except it is depending which generation of RAM you look at. I think DDR2 was like 5-6Gbps. Today NVMEs with PCI-e 4.0 has matched that. (Obviously nowhere near as fast as DDR3/4) but we have come a long way where you basically load data and assets straight from the storage, it's very impressive.
1 second load times is damn fast
They can do 2GB in .27 seconds. Then it depends on the dev, Naughty Dog removed loading with a PS4. "We do so much work, on our end, once you start the adventure, you never see a load screen. And there's so much work that happens behind the scenes of how we design the levels, how we chop them up, and it's all invisible to the player; you never see any of that work," he added.
Not to mention the reload after dying or doing a manual save was really quick. Like 2 seconds quick.
Next gen's one and a half seconds of loading time will be virtually nothing.
I want Naughty Dog to delve into the Fantasy genre, preferably something like Game of Thrones with a large cast of characters.
It was rumored they're considering a new Sci-fi IP
I want a space game ....or full in horror game The 2nd half of TLOU2 was mix of Silent Hill and RE but much better and it was incredible
Yeah like the hospital basement stuff
Rest the team then give me savage starlight!!! Dont care how long it takes, a naughty dog sci-fi game would be right up my street. Does anyone know if nd still split their teams or are they all in one big group again? Because I have a feeling the last of us part 2 wasnt the only nd game in dev.
2 teams usually
Yeah, just not sure if they still do that now or not, hopefully it wont be too long before we see what they have been working on, if the two team thing is still a thing.
I think Uncharted doesn't need another game. I would prefer something new. And from GG I need another KZ... With KZ2 remake, including MP.
A new killzone that isnt half baked story like killzone ps4. Amazing graphics but game was lacking elsewhere
I thought it was fine for what it was. A launch title built to show off the system's hardware capabilities. I actually had a lot of fun with it. Wouldn't mind a new Killzone for the PS5 at launch.
I agree, it was just boring for me.
Yes! Another KZ game
I’d love to see ND on their new IP for PS5.
ND on Ps5 will be something alright.
They should remake Last of us 2 before anyhting
I was really hoping they'd launch with a ps5 version. The article doesn't rule it out, but kinda implies a ps5 version isn't waiting in the wings
Is there a limit how salty some can get?
Hopefully Savage starlight is next big franchise from naughty dog.
Uncharted 4 and TLoU 2 visuals are absolutely mind-blowing. Multiple times in both games I've had to stop and just gawp at what's on screen. I can't imagine what they're going to accomplish with PS5, but I'll be there.
My daughter thought Joel was a real person at first playing the guitar . She had to ask me if that’s a real person .
What gets me the most in TLoU 2 is the vegetation. Especially in the area where you first face the Scars, it was to the point I was so distracted by all the individual plants and blades of grass swaying in the breeze that I almost forgot there were enemies around. XD
Since we had the last of us part 2 im sure they can make last of us part 3
I only hope
I think they are doing something and they are involving space in it. because they visited SpaceX maybe
Please, as much as I loved part2, let them build a new IP.
I'm playing TLoU Remastered on my slim PS4 with a 4k tv, it looks nice but I'm really excited for next gen.
Naughty Dog ARPG please.
I’d love for ND to make a sci-fi shooter rpg .
Uncharted 4: Oh man they're going to kill of Nate to move the plot point, and pass the torch??? Nooooooooo. Ok Phew. Glad Naughty Dog wouldn't pull a GoT and kill off such a beloved Character. Last of Us II: Yeahhh... about that...
Just tell me about the last of us 2 multiplayer game. I will pay full price, i will support them fruitfully if it's free to play game, just let me know anything about it, let me know it is still in the works please. As a huge MP gamer it is really the one game that keeps me keen on the PS5 over the Series X, but if noting is said I will probably turn my attention to the series X and the next Halo. I love playstation but they have not given multiplayer gamers much to look forward to for a long time.
I'd like to see something wholly different from Uncharted or Last of Us for ND. Something besides a cover based shooter basically. They're insanely talented and I'd like to see that translated to anything else as they've basically just been improving the same gameplay from Uncharted 1 in 2007. And really I'd like for it to be smaller scale if only for the sake of them being able to try something and quickly itterate from there. Even only a 1 year~ cycle while building on something else bigger.
I'd like Savage Starlight and The Last of Us: Part III
