When a game gets praised this much it's easy to get your expectations too high and be disappointed in the end.

Assuming good critics can be wrong is a good way to enjoy an experience without influences.

Reviews need to die imo, just watch a yt playthrough for a hour and you get a better understanding of the game etc.

If you watch an hour of gameplay instead of reading reviews:

- You don't how the experience feels as a whole
- You may no get how it is to play the game instead of watching it (and most times, it's very different)
- You don't have another person's point of view, which is the reason there are so many critics out there

skeptical, knocking it down a peg? that doesn't seem very skeptical to me. also all reviewers have a pre-exisiting bias in some form. feel free to love the game, but don't discount others who had a bias as well, but only to have that bias confirmed in spades.
