Best looking game I've ever seen... Bar none.

buffig1769d ago

How can one person be so wrong

KyRo1769d ago

It's really doesn't lol

ClayRules20121769d ago

I completely disagree. RDR2 looks truly beautiful. Gorgeous at times, my golly. But no, it doesn’t compare to the visual detail that ND has crafted in The Last of Us Part 2. I respectfully disagree. Completely.

bouzebbal1769d ago

Days Gone wipes the floor with RDR.. Compare what's comparable at least...

I said the same thing and was downvoted as hell 🤣🤣.

sin72791769d ago (Edited 1769d ago )

Nope!

The_Sage1769d ago

RDR2 looks great. I have that too, but no... The Last of Us 2 looks better.

kayoss1769d ago

@Ezio2048, you know that The last of Us 2 is accessible to the blind. You should try it because youre obviously blind.

DankSinatra1769d ago (Edited 1769d ago )

It actually does, especially on the scale that it has compared to something as linear as TLOU2, I guarantee that if rockstar made a game with their engine on a smaller scale it would blow anything this generation has shown out of the water (much like max payne 3 was on last generation of their game engine)

@itsfunkky

“rdr2 looks like gta 5 remastered graphics with slightly better textures and facial animations .. lol“

You must be blind, RDR2 has vastly improved everything from gta5 that even the next gen ports don’t come close to, such as:
physical based rendering, far better draw distances, better textures, better character models, volumetric clouds, vastly improved lighting, improved vegetation

That’s like me saying TLOU2 looks like uncharted 4 with better textures and facial animation.... lol

IGiveHugs2NakedWomen1769d ago (Edited 1769d ago )

Watching games being played isn't the same as actually playing them.

The only reason why you (Ezio) would say such a thing is because you've never played it. I own both games and you are WRONG.

SierraGuy1768d ago

Control looks better than both.

Absolutely! Never seen a better looking video game it looks next gen on the Base PS4 for christ sakes

ClayRules20121769d ago

Haha, right. It looks next gen for crying out loud. That’s a feat in itself. RDR2 doesn’t. And aside from looks, let’s not forget equally as impressive as the visuals for Last of Us Part 2, the Motion Matching tech...It just feels SO DAMN Amazing!!! Pardon my language. But seriously. Everything blends so smoothly/fluid and naturally, that the Visuals animations/gameplay complement each other brilliantly.

Though I dont agree with some of the story choices, i respect NDs decisions for the direction they took. The story, characters, gameplay and my god the graphics are all leagues above anyone else (IMO). I love this game so much. 22hrs for my first playthough, and just started new game +.

You can chuck all the radeons and ram you want at a game but you can't replicate talent and experience on a platform like naughty dog has.

Tacoboto1769d ago

Talent over Power, any day everyday. What Naughty Dog will deliver on PS5 gives me goosebumps. The attention to facial details are beyond anything I've seen before - making those expressions in the mirror in a museum. The grimacing when an enemy is near, teeth gritting when stealth killing, the shivering and squinting in the snow, that it actually looks like lips are connecting when there's kissing. It's so masterfully done.

SierraGuy1768d ago

Yes but still a long way from uncanny valley.

Still looks like cgi. Great game ND.

ClayRules20121769d ago (Edited 1769d ago )

Exactly.

Naughty Dog shows time and time again, why they’re considered by so many gamers and I believe many dev’s “in the industry “ as well as best in the world, because regardless of hardware weaknesses they’ve had to deal with they consistently bring out the absolute best in the machine. Why? Because of their talent. Their artists, programmers, coders, all of them just are masters of their craft and when someone says i don’t think we can do that, they say “Hey, let’s try it” as i think Bruce said in an interview, about U4, but discussing back in U2’s day referring to the train set piece which was a work of art and challenge at the time. They do what others don’t seem to dare to do. And TLoU Part 2 is no different.

Again, this is why I personally don’t care to game on PC. When you have developers like ND, Sony Santa Monica, Insomniac, Guerrilla Games, MEdia Molecule, I’m having a brain fart with others lol, oh Bluepoint, who’re passionate about their work (not that other dev’s on other platforms aren’t) but they exclusively get to work on this one piece of hardware and no matter where you play it, it’ll look exactly the same for everyone (okay, yeah there’s the 4K Pro) but you get my point lol.

You’re getting a visual stunner no matter the case, and experiencing their vision come to life.

I cringe turning the camera and actually seeing the blood ooze out of the vicitms necks as I shiv them and the look on Ellie’s face I never get used too. And the facial animations are on a whole new level. I didn’t think I’d be much better than U4, but my gosh, it’s beyond that.

ND, I don’t know how you’ll surprise us with PS5, but I have no doubt you will. I’m ready....

SamPao1769d ago

Is it just me or are these screenshots absolutely the lowest rez they could make them?

SierraGuy1768d ago

Looks like they used a brick phone camera.

ClayRules20121769d ago

Best looking game I’ve ever seen/played/been released. Naughty Dog has once again outdone not only themselves but all their friends within Sony’s first party studios who’ve been having friendly competition this entire generation, raising the bar up on each other, which has been entertaining to see.

I look forward to using photo mode more on my 2nd go around with the game. I’ve taken a select few pics. But my fiancé and I have been so engrossed that I don’t really think of it often, which surprises me.

We’ll get back to playing more of the story tonight.

Yui_Suzumiya1769d ago

Yeah I just finished it this morning and I'm ready to tackle new game plus already 😁

ClayRules20121769d ago

That’s great, Yui! Did you enjoy it?

Sunny_D1769d ago

That forest scene though...🤯

The Last of Us™ Part II Remastered 2025 PC 4K (No DLSS) Incredible Forest Graphics

CG says: In this video, we take a look at the same forest section on horseback in The Last of Us™ Part II Remastered that we showcased in 2020 on the PS4 Pro. It’s an amazing bit of exposition with not much happening aside from a bit of banter. However, taking it slowly rather than galloping past, the forest graphics are actually pretty detailed. One of the more beautiful moments from the game. PS4 Pro version holds-up pretty well (that output was upscaled 4K and back then, there was no DLSS or AI interventions that we know about).
