What does DICE need to do in order to win back the trust of the Battlefield community after Battlefield V? MP1st chats with YouTubers and the community.
Release a good Battlefield, and in a timely manner?
I want to see a period piece on how World War 3 started.
All you have to do is watch the news for that. China invades Taiwan, North Korea invades South Korea, and Russia hits Alaska. Oh and 'woke' idiots start a civil war in the US. Since they are anti gun....that doesn't go well for them. As for DICE making a great Battlefield, I think that ship sailed. Hate to say it. We need a return roots Bad Company type game, but I don't think we will ever see that again.
@Nodoze ''All you have to do is watch the news for that. China invades Taiwan, North Korea invades South Korea, and Russia hits Alaska. Oh and 'woke' idiots start a civil war in the US. Since they are anti gun....that doesn't go well for them.'' In the middle of all that there are amazing stories to be told.
That would be fun but I don't think anyone would be OK with this given how almost everything offends people these days.
@Nodoze I love the way you leave the US out of the equation when it comes to countries invading other sovereign countries. They just happen to be the biggest threat when it comes to that.
Make a more grounded, modern-era battlefield game with balanced, viable classes and weapons.
no more ww1, ww2 stuff. Back to BF3, BF4.
BF:BC 3? Same or similar cast? Or remake/remaster Bad Company, i'll buy it.
You dont want them trying to make another Bad Company.
Modern setting and no identity politics. Lose the BF1/BFV gunplay.
AMEN on the identity politics bullshit.
Lol...as long as it doesn't have any homophobic rap battles featuring Fred Durst.
I'd rather have that than BF5.
BFV isn't a bad game for those reasons, as a long time Battlefield game I have more qualifications to tell anyone why it's a bad game. It was the lack of content, unstable builds, back and forth with balancing, and ignoring the community. By the end, the Japanese content wasn't bad but the game had already died. None of the identity politics BS you mention made it into the game and I don't really think it was there to begin with. The game wasn't a victim of regressive left-wing politics, it was a victim of EA's cynical business practices like shoving a cosmetic battle pass into a $60 product. You just wanna say it failed for those reasons because it feeds your personal biases and reinforces your worldview. The "gowokegobroke" mantra is clearly flawed because I see plenty of great games like TLOU2, Overwatch, Apex, and Final Fantasy thriving in the market and they're full of what you would consider "woke BS".
Bad Company 3
- Focus on Conquest mode - Smaller teams, so what you do actually matters again. - Smaller maps, better balanced. Battlefield 4 had some perfectly sized and balanced maps. - You need to be able to just do your own thing again, which often resulted in those 'Battlefield' moments you'd remember. Right now, the focus was too much on squad-play and too powerful vehicles. - 1 match shouldn't be a huge time-sink. 10-20 minutes is perfect, which might extend a little bit, but BF5 felt like every match was 30+ minutes, which is a bit ridiculous, especially when you no longer feel 'special' or 'crucial'. I just want Conquest-based Battlefield to feel fun and special again.
Respectfully disagree on a few of your points - disagree on "Focus on conquest mode" only because I'm a big Rush fan - "Smaller teams" One of BF's fortes is its scale. I'm guessing its why you also want smaller maps
I'm not talking 8 vs 8 or even 16 vs 16, but 24 vs 24 or 32 vs 32 would be okay. Battlefield 4 kinda struck the right balance with its maps and scale.
Bad Company 3 But I would really love to see some of all the old dynamic destruction they used to do that made for some pretty fun and interesting ways to win a match.
A straight up remake of bf1942, bf2, bf Vietnam or even 2142 no micro transactions or loot boxes no cosmetic changes outside of a graphical overhaul drop diversity for profit sake. Get back to the roots
Battlefield 3 2
Create a game similar to BF3\BF4 with modern weapons that gamers of today are familiar with. Oh and it's probably not a good a idea to try and tell off your customer base by suggesting they accept it or don't buy it. I think a lot of people took your advice and didn't buy it.
Go back to battlefield 1!!!’
Make a decent Battlefield?
Get rid of games as service bullshit.
Bad Company where r u!
Run far away from EA.
