An "estimated" look at the PlayStation 5 size vs the Xbox Series X and other consoles using an intense method of arts and crafts work. Extreme craftsmanship went into pristine cardboard slicing, folding and layout.

Crazy man, the console is going to be f_cking giant, just image the heat.

I wonder how it compares to the PS4 Pro. Both the PS4 and Pro required me to adjust some stuff to make more space but my fat PS3 and X1X fit perfect on my setup.

timotim1771d ago

Exactly...its because of their depth...especially with the Pro. PS5 just looks huge all around. Its the tallest console ever made. Definitely keep an eye on its depth though...going off the pic I linked, it looks crazy.

RazzerRedux1771d ago (Edited 1771d ago )

The side image of the PS5 doesn't look right. According to IGN:

"we estimated the PS5 to have the rough dimensions of 15.74" x 8.79" x 3.97". For comparison, we've estimated the Xbox Series X size to be roughly 11.85" x 6.03" x 6.03". "
https://www.ign.com/article...

So front to back of the consoles is 8.79" vs 6.03". Difference of 2.76". But that side view in your pic suggests the PS5 is double the depth from that of XSX. There is either a discrepancy in IGN's estimate or in that image.

Edit: lol....look closer. The XSX is pushed further into the background than the PS5.

Ok...took me a minute, but that image of the PS5 is total bullshit.

Yours:

Look at it from the front versus a *real* picture of the PS5. lol....hilarious. Massive fins coming out the top of that bullshit pic.

This is a more accurate side view although this is also a rendered mock up for comparison, but it isn't horribly exaggerated like the pic you found.

Im sure the person who positioned it did so to match up the disc slots. However, the last pic you posted I can see that too. I still think the PS5 looks massive by comparison even in that pic however...especially from the side.

This video SUCKS! A moron with a penis tip hair cut, playing with a piece of cardboard

Angrymorgan1771d ago (Edited 1771d ago )

🤣🤣🤣

Sophisticated_Chap1770d ago

True, he shouldn't be posting videos with that hair. Because of this, he's basically lost all credibility.

Fishy Fingers1771d ago

Interested to see what the actual mass difference.

Melankolis1771d ago

The question is where is the power supply?
Playstation's power supply is always inside the console, but Xbox's is separated from the console until they release the slim version. So, further information is required to make a fair judgement.

RazzerRedux1771d ago

XSX power supply is integrated according to DF.

"The only indication we have of the possible increase in consumption (and to be clear, it is only an implication) are the specs of the integrated power supply."

Melankolis1771d ago

Oh right, i forgot DF already teared down the machine.

MagUk1771d ago

On which console the series x? If so we already know that it’s integrated with in the console via the tear downs.

Review - Blue Prince (PS5) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Kyle Nicol: "Even if you aren’t a fan of roguelikes, Blue Prince feels much more like an elaborate puzzle box. There’s a satisfying feeling in making it further than you did before, finding clues to a puzzle, then stumbling onto another piece of that puzzle a few runs later. Blue Prince is certainly one of the most interesting games of this year. It takes a fairly novel concept in a roguelike puzzle game, adding elements of deckbuilding and base crafting. It all comes together for a gameplay experience unlike anything else out there today."

Huge difference i must admit, but not sure i would notice without 2 screens next to each other.

Not getting this game still, i want a new game and im tired of remasters

Muigi1h ago(Edited 1h ago)

It’s $10 and there are plenty of games out there for you.

Flewid63830m ago

Then its not a huge difference?

Remastered.....

Flewid63829m ago

You're forgetting 30fps to 60fps

Tedakin1h ago

Sony is now remastering games with 71s on metacritic.

Bathyj1h ago

Like that's a judge of anything
This game got scored before it was released.

andy851h ago

Days gone is 85+. It got heavily marked down at launch for bugs where as others get a free pass for that. It's a fantastic game.

andy851h ago

I spoiled myself by modding this game on my PC. Genuinely one of the best looking games I've ever seen. Whilst this remaster looks nice it just doesn't compare to that sadly. It shows the effort that these remasters could put in if they wanted

REDGUM1h ago

I so hope this game or DLC for those of us who own the original sells well.
Ive said it before, its an underrated game for sure & was unfairly judged upon release.
Please try this game if you haven't already.

For those who say 'i won't purchase digital only' you can pickup a hard copy for 5 bucks here in Australia, then add the DLC and you have a superb game for $20 or so.

Give it a shot, tell me I'm wrong After completing the game.

Game on gamers.
