Chris from SwitchWatch writes: Kingdom Hearts has been a long-beloved game series for me, but the mobile game and this recent rhythm spinoff game is the last straw.
This is the 5th or 6th mobile game. Now you're out?
Mobile is not 3DS or PSP. Mobile's the phone games, like Unchained X/ Union X (which is kinda one game altogether). At least the DS, 3DS, and PSP games were relatively fun. Union X isn't.
Kingdom Hearts Coded Kingdom Hearts Mobile Kingdom Hearts X (Web browser-based) Kingdom Hearts V CAST Kingdom Hearts Mobile Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days Magical Puzzle Clash Kingdom Hearts Re:coded Gummiship Studio I know what mobile is. I am talking about all this sh*t they fill in between the main games.
Those aren't important though.
So you were all in for Kingdom Hearts 1.769÷6: Hunter Hearst Helmsley, but this is too much for you?
Lmao. You're random HHH inclusion made me laugh, so I logged in specifically to upvote you.
Died at the HHH part XD
Dude. Lmfao. The Cerebral Assassin approves.
Time to play the game
... it's been frustrating... So much so I am no longer a fan... Like 10 years ago...
Dude, I just wrote a satire post and realized I posted it in a comments section for a two day old article that probably won't get seen. So...I'll just be lazy and copy/paste it here: "I'm still holding out for Kingdom Hearts Pi Divided by Mole, presented with at least one symbol not found on a typical keyboard, and which is correctly pronounced as 3.14 over 6.02x10 to the 23rd. It will contain very important story, without which you would be completely lost in Kingdom Hearts Pythagoras Theorem, which will in turn be very important if you want to follow the plot in Kingdom Hearts We Didn't Smoke Drugs While Coming Up With This Name We Swear, which will in turn be very important to have a hope of deciphering what the heck is going on in Kingdom Hearts 4, if that ever comes out. Yeah, I'm with you that this series is needlessly complicated and I hope most of that complexity is behind us." Suffice to say, I lost interest a decade ago too. I bought the recent collections/latest game, but I just backlogged them. At least having them all in one place is an improvement, but...I'm not really looking forward to trying to follow much of it from a story standpoint even with that step in the right direction.
Haha you put a lot more effort in than I did.
I get what they mean, they should stop with the exclusive sequels and create them for all devices/ systems in mind. As a Kingdom Hearts fan myself I can relate, though I’m not worried about the music rhythm game.
I agree. Hey, at least things are looking up...somewhat. Being a Kingdom Hearts fan prior to the collections we've been getting was a whole other level of frustration.
I'm so glad i never got into kingdom hearts. only played a little of the first one and never got around to finishing it. i love final fantasy but at least those characters are usually self multiplatform or on sony consoles to begin with. Not to mention they're usually self contained stories so i don't have to follow a convoluted plot over the course of many games aside from ff xiii and even that was kept to 3 games and nothing more Edit: Oh and the shameless milking of customers for kingdom hearts is on another level, almost at nintendo level for pokemon
I’m only in it for the gameplay at this point. The story should have been resolved with remind and a new cast of characters introduced. Leave Sora alone man just let him end up with a happy ending. Rhythm game will be a YouTube trip for me.
it's basically ff7 compilation
It's literally the easiest it's ever been. All in 1 on PS4 and Xbox 1. 2 free mobile games you can watch on YouTube. And the rhythm game is what's brand new. Which has brand new info for people to buy to stay interested. Another thing you can watch on YouTube if the game doesn't interest you. I however love the OST. So I definitely want it
I don't want to watch cutscenes on YouTube. I want an enjoyable game that goes along with the storyline. I wouldn't want to watch the cutscenes for Horizon: Forbidden West and that's it.
And Horizon offers you that. Kingdom Hearts for the most part does too. If you don't want to watch cut scenes play the games.
Now? Where have you been the past couple of years?
What did you expect? It’s not like we’re going to get a AAA budget installment so soon after KH3. This isn’t anything new since that’s been the case for the series since its inception
I'd rather them make the next game than make all these mobile spinoffs with heavy doses of lore.
