I guess you guys last hope are user reviewers, but last time I check and (someone please correct me if I’m wrong) has never been reliable, but mark my words they’re going to mean more than ever to a lot of you guys now all of sudden.

Haters are so funny, they latch to the ONE guy who had a negative OPINION of the game, the ONE guy, and take his OPINION as gospel because he's saying what they want to hear while at the same discarding and disregarding ALL the other reviewer's OPINIONS because they go against the narrative they built in their head.

P.s: They are anxiously waiting for the game to be out so they can finally review bomb it, that way they can show how "people" don't like it.

I never understood the appeal of creating a MC account JUST to zero bomb a game you dislike without even playing it. Maybe someone can explain it to me. It's hilariously dumb and such a waste of time.

Well most reviewers aren’t allowed to mention the last half of the game which is fishy, why can’t they mention it? Are they scared the reviewers might spoil the game? No, I think the nd writers spoiled the game. I’ve been hardcore hating on this game because I’ve seen the spoilers and they took the multiplayer out. If they somehow make the story good from start to end, like the first one was, ill redact my hate and eat a slice of humble pie. I want this game to be good, All of it, story included. I don’t think it will be. I hope I’m wrong.

You left out ign Japan, Gaming revolution, and game bible, and probably other jokers out there who don’t know what true art is. Others are probably just waiting to write negative user reviews when the game finally releases and people will point to that, not realizing it’s the mainstream game journalists who offer the true worldview.

I have played the game to completion. I will keep this very basic and 100% spoiler free.

Graphics are unsurpassed. You ain't seen nothing yet!!
The sound effects are amazing and the best I have ever heard in a game.
There are some very quick and exciting short time action packed set pieces.
The acting and voice work is exemplary throughout.
The game is indeed a masterpiece.
The game play is more fluid than part 1. Although my tiny tiny smidge of a gripe is that it hasn't massively advanced nor changed much from part 1. Well if it ain't broke, I guess.
Did I enjoy it? Yes and no is the answer.
I absolutely hated the script and story. I'll say no more than that.
Which game did I prefer. On a technical level the second game smashes part one into oblivion, but overall I preferred part 1.

How would I score it? Part 1 is an easy 10. Part 2 is a strong 9.5. If Druckmann's stench and influence weren't so strong the game could and should have been an 11.

I have just completed another play-through of part 2. Only this time I hated it even more. The best way I can describe it is = The game is a depression simulator.

The blame for this $h!t show lies squarely at Druckmann's door. I absolutely loved the first game ( I platinumed it twice) & have just found out that I have waited 7 years, only to be lied to & metaphorically spat on by Druckmann.

I will never ever purchase any game or media ever again if he is in any way or shape involved. I see I got a few disagrees up above.

Come Monday morning when you have all had the chance to wallow in Druckmann's cr@p depression simulator, you may perhaps see where I was coming from.

I watched a YouTube review today. It said "same gameplay" way "less puzzles" "dated gameplay" "everything I loved about the first game is gone".

Honestly, playing TLOU for the first time last December, I was disappointed. It isn't "the best game ever" or even "the best last gen game". Not in my book. Sony fanboys are delusional.

I have not finished TLOU, but am more than half way through. It is a good game, but when I got PS4 at Christmas there were far more compelling games to play, and finish.

I am now going to finish the game, because of course I will have to buy one of the PS4 swan songs, and one is TLOU 2.

I want to make it CLEAR. I think Sony has some amazing games. Honestly TLOU, is just a good game to me. I am 9 hours in, I doubt the last 6 will change my mind.

I’m not a fanboy on either side. I’ve had both companies’ consoles. But I wasn’t super impressed by the first game either. I played it all the way through. It was good but nothing groundbreaking or anything I ever want to play again.

The gameplay was ok, not amazingly groundbreaking, but it was solid. The narrative though? Was over the top amazing. From the gut bunch in the very beginning of the game to the development of the characters of the course of it. It was masterfully crafted and absolute breath or fresh air. I played the game 4 or 5 times when it came out because I couldn't get enough. And I have recently replayed it getting ready for part 2 and loved every moment of it again.

I'm not going to argue, if it's not your thing it's not your thing, but the game set the bar pretty damn high for post apocalypse games imo. And for telling a story in general.

Many Sony fans are fanboys. They praised this game so much, and frankly 9 hours in I am not impressed. The reason I haven't finished it, is because games like God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, Bloodborne, Uncharted 4, and a bunch more Sony games are better than TLOU. So I play those.

Like I said, it isn't a bad game. It just doesn't live up to the fanboys gushing over it. I have seen comments saying "it is the best game of all time" "Amazing Masterpiece" "10 out of 10".

TLOU has a great story. It is a solid game. The gameplay is not great though. Look, I am really into Playstation right now, and can't wait for both next gen consoles, and I will buy TLOU 2. I just don't have the same expectations I did for the first one.

If TLOU didn't have a good story, it would be a 7 out of 10 at best. As it stands for me, it is an 8 put of 10. No where near best game of all time. I am glad you, and so many others enjoy it though.

Nope - much like VR, 3D games are still evolving - they age dramatically in a short period.

It's extremely hard to reinvent the wheel time and time again. ms will find that out, hopefully one or more of their studios can strike gold - it ain't easy making a good game.

You've still yet to finish the game - comeback once that's done, then you can cast valid judgement.

The way the story is told through the game is the best of its generation, no other game completes. It may not have the gameplay for everyone but it was the characters and story that had people hooked. It’s ok though, that doesn’t appeal to everyone.
