I'm sure it is, and if you look at the patent history you can clearly see what direction it's going in. And keep in mind that the number one thing about PSVR is accessibility in price. It's more important that it's affordable than it has the fanciest features. They need to make it functional comfortable and affordable. It doesn't need to be a professional solution.
I agree with every point made in the article except the point on setup. I don't find the PSVR setup to be difficult at all. Sometimes I move my ps4 from my bedroom to the living room from time to time and it takes a whole five minutes.
BC with psvr1 !!! Pro even renders PSVR games in higher res and scales down, so there will be no problem to have much better clarity with better headset.
Backwards compatibility is a must with first gen titles.
It absolutely needs to be wireless and use inside out tracking. Since I got Oculus Quest, I've only set up PSVR one time. It's such a hassle and I feel like it's only worth it if I know I have several uninterrupted hours to play. Quest on the other hand is viable in basically any room at any time.
