Yes! The only reason some reviewers are knocking points off is because they think it’s too violent. Naughty Dog said they wanted players to feel uneasy.

From the review, the issue they had was they believed the violence was not properly put into context. But that was never an issue for me with TLOU. The violence in the game made sense with the story, characters and the world. Cant wait for the 19th, im ready to feel all the feels.

I normally don’t criticize reviews because in the end of the day it’s one persons opinion. With that said, I almost never agree with gamespots scores. They are always overly harsh and I feel they do it at this point for clicks.

She seems to forget that it's a game as well as a story. The criticisms that the violence is unexplained (until later on in the story when according to her it is) and there are too many optional collectibles don't seem worth knocking two points off to me.

I would have thought not having any reason to explore the level beyond progressing the story would have been more of a problem and do we really need a considered reason to explain every act of violence in an adult game about bloody revenge?

It sounds grim and brutal on your senses and emotions but that's exactly what it sets out to do.

I must be one of the rare few that’s not in any rush to play this. Will hold out for the PS5 version. Days Gone will probably be ported over also.
