Gamerheadquarters; "With the PlayStation5 reveal almost being upon us, there are certainly high expectations attached to the showcase. Since the Xbox Series X has had information trickling out for awhile, and with Sony’s quieter approach these two factors have been building a lot of hype around the initial presentation."
Counterplay, the developer behind Gearbox Publishing's action role-playing game Godfall, has been hit with layoffs, based on the latest information.
Godfall had potential. I bought it on launch day along with Demon’s Souls and Miles on PS5. One of the biggest issues I had with this game was multiplayer was not convenient and the combat system would not allow you to cancel a string which limited the combo potential. I still have it on my hard drive but haven’t played in a couple years. Maybe I’ll check it out. As far as the layoffs go it’s to be expected at this point.
Zach from WellPlayed writes "Quantum Error is a flawed, frustrating and unfun slog that collapses under the weight of its lofty ambitions to blend multiple genres and mechanics on a limited budget and developing skillset."
NoobFeed Editor Simon Estey writes - Quantum Error is too ambitious to the detriment of basic features. It wants to be a survival horror game, a first-person shooter, and a sci-fi thriller film but doesn't pull off any of these particularly well. Its most interesting aspect is its firefighting, but this is also what it spends the least of its playtime focused on. It is incredibly impressive that it was built by such a small team, but that doesn't make it any more enjoyable to play.
Applaud the QE team for the effort...but their core loop is crap. Need playtesting gents!
By constantly bashing the Xbox, these developers turned their shitty game in a success on the PS5. PR department deserve a raise...
Its sony. It will have gameplay on a gameplay event, More, they wont be all running in a high end PC GPU from Nvidia (2080TI), like others did.
I'm hoping for games and lots of them.
Obviously.
