CD Projekt RED's latest interview sheds some light on the quest design of Cyberpunk 2077 while providing more info about some cool features in the game.
My hype is gone for this game
As always, you have to read the article. "the only thing that would cause a mission to end in failure is death. The team has considered the dumbest things you could ever do during a mission in order to avoid failure in any other form. For example, if you are in the middle of a fight with enemies, you can leave it for any reason and get yourself a hamburger while the mission is still on." And also "You will have three times as many ways to end a mission successfully as the last entry of The Witcher trilogy." That is what the 3 times meant.
That really doesn't seem like a good metric for freedom in choices.
Think its probably a case of having to listen to the podcast itself to get the full story/discription (which I cant be bothered) than taking the authors interpretation. I'd prefer they just dictated the sections for the article.
Will be cool to play this come September
I like the news that it will be no longer so easy to fail a mission. I failed multiple missions in Witcher 3 without even meaning to, just getting a random message saying I failed it without knowing what I did or didn't do to cause it.
WOW what a specific number!
