Glad the game is doing so well.

I mean, it's doing okay. Reaching number one during a lapse in major releases doesn't really mean much no matter what the game. For example, did you know that Last of Us 2 will be number one when it releases? At the end of the day, I'm just not seeing even 10% of the conversation and attention Animal Crossing got just a couple of months prior for Xenoblade, which makes sense considering it's a remaster of a game that has already been released twice before.

Selling even 10% of animal crossing is amazing. That game sold insanely good.

luckytrouble1832d ago

Although that isn't completely false, you totally misinterpreted what I said.

As an aside though, let's say Animal Crossing sold 300k its first week (which would be insanely good first week numbers). 10% of that would only be 30k which wouldn't be impressive in the slightest.

Except that Xenoblade DE is currently the top selling game in US, UK, and Japan. When Nintendo finally release the digital sale number, we’ll see how many units this game has sold.

Animal Crossing has more broad appeal. Xenoblade is more of a niche game.

maybe if they released it on Switch they'd be back to #1.

1 - 3 are connected. Idk if X is connected since I haven't beaten the epilogue in X yet. X will probably be connected.

Nintendo of America never planned on bringing Xenoblade to North America despite announcing it at E3

These days Xenoblade is one of Nintendo’s bigger franchises – at least when it comes to RPGs – but that wasn’t always the case. The first entry came out in English more than a year after its Japanese launch, and that was for European fans only.

Would've been yet another whack move on Nintendo. I'm glad they did. It's one of the few games I got the switch for.

XiNatsuDragnel398d ago

Well nintendo if you didn't do that big l

Knightofelemia398d ago

I guess Nintendo forgets how boosting sales numbers work. Why lock a game to a certain region or certain regions? You want sales number then flood the market and release the game in every region.

Lionsguard398d ago

I just don't understand why companies enjoy locking software behind such specific things. Imagine if Minecraft was only available for Xbox 360 and only North America and never again on anything else..
