Can't say I'm surprised with the digical release. This feels like a happy meal where the toy has been replaced by a fortune cookie prophecy of disappointment wrote by Skynet.

I would jump on it I own all the Bioshocks on PS3 and the Collection on PS4 love the series hope there is a Bioshock 4 in the works but think I'll pass on the Switch version.

There was an announcement for a new BioShock back in 2014 and then again a couple months ago.

The Bioshock Collection can be bought for way cheaper and with better performance on the PS4,XB1 and PC. I personally wouldn’t support these expensive switch ports of old games.

Neonridr1447d ago

but can you play it away from your TV? That's the kicker I think for plenty of people. Nobody is saying you need to buy it, clearly this isn't for you.

Sciurus_vulgaris1447d ago

I’m interested in buying the Bioshock Collection for a summer replay of series. I would never buy it on the switch, due cost (overpriced) and performance. Also, don’t see the ability of playing away from my TV to be that appealing. Unlike the Switch ads, I rarely ever see people playing their switches in parks, on buses etc.

So you should pay double than the ps4/x1/pc price just because you can play it away from your TV?
Do you know how silly this sounds?
😂 😂.

"but can you play it away from your TV"

Sure I can, PS4 remote play, and you have your pick of multiple devices.

Pughski1446d ago

Yeah, that doesn't sell me. Oh charge $60 for a cheap game thats on every other console just so I can play a downgradable version on the shitter! Woo!

rainslacker1446d ago (Edited 1446d ago )

Yeah, with remote play and a Vita.

A games collection that doesn't have all the games on the disc is always a solid no buy for me. Just a matter of principal, because I love collections for actual collection purposes. But collecting of games that I have to download is pointless.

Neonridr1445d ago

but Remote play only works with an internet connection. It's not the same thing at all. It's serviceable, but the lack of dual shoulder buttons makes some games actually a chore to play via remote play.

Hope they fix issue in the Bioshock where the game randomly freeze which never happened in the original.
I'd find many FPS unwieldy to play on the go so I won't be double dip the collection.
