Monolith Soft on why Future Connected was made for Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition

Rather than just sprucing up the game and making some subtle changes, Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition actually has content not included in the original. Fans of the Wii title plus newcomers can play through Future Connected, an epilogue that takes place after the main story ends.

Sadly, Xenoblade Chronicles X is not coming to the Switch.

I mean it was sort of meh. It had some ambitions, but the game was definitely designed to be too much for the Wii U. Too many big areas plagued by emptiness..

It is anything but empty. Postgame adds so many super bosses and other high level monsters

Neonridr1847d ago

@Zeldafan64 - really? I haven't checked it out since release.. so maybe I am missing something. I felt the areas were a little too big for their good. Could have been smaller areas packed with more enemies.

Idk the exact number but I'd say postgame adds at least 6 or 7 superbosses.

1 - 3 are connected. Idk if X is connected since I haven't beaten the epilogue in X yet. X will probably be connected.

Would've been yet another whack move on Nintendo. I'm glad they did. It's one of the few games I got the switch for.

Well nintendo if you didn't do that big l

Knightofelemia400d ago

I guess Nintendo forgets how boosting sales numbers work. Why lock a game to a certain region or certain regions? You want sales number then flood the market and release the game in every region.

Lionsguard400d ago

I just don't understand why companies enjoy locking software behind such specific things. Imagine if Minecraft was only available for Xbox 360 and only North America and never again on anything else..
