Crackdown 3 the game of all games.

@TylerID

Oh look, an article about the Xbox platform and the very first comment is an attempt to derail any chance of meaningful dicussion on the article's subject.

TylerID's last three comments..

**"Nothing about Microsoft is ever brilliant"**

**"Any sane developer wouldn't sell to Microsoft"**

**"Crackdown 3 the game of all games"**

How is this being allowed to continue?

Ironically, he is far from the worst troll here. Don't expect any action, it's just N4G.

Atticus_finch1847d ago

@Chris12 I agree. Because let's be honest you're probably the worst troll here.

@Chris12 The pot calling the kettle black??

because that's the crowd (sheep) mentality, we're bigger and there's more of us so we're right.
what we like and the reasons we like it is better than what you like,
especially the blatant statements that aren't true.
crackdown wasn't a terrible game,
It got a lot of bad reviews, almost all of which was due to the multiplayer (VS) aspect of it, but it was a great game.
that it looked bad/ performed bad /all these other things, is nothing but an outright lie, that's just them.
they love to harp on "the power of the cloud"...
I find it hilarious because Xbox is going to be making a ton of money off of all of them, next generation
"da cloud" they want to laugh and criticized about, is what they'll be using on PlayStation, for a lot of their Network features.
it's the funniest shit in the world...
but I say just let him be ignorant (not that I could be helped to begin with) the fact that five exclusives a year that are worth something isn't enough to get me to go to their console ecosystem, is only further accentuated by the fact that I wouldn't want to play on a system and run into people with the mentality (many) I run into here.
I'm sure there's a lot of great people on PlayStation, you just find very few of them in the forum section here.
and in case you haven't guessed n4g is hugely slanted towards PlayStation crowd,
but take heart there's a lot of great true gamers on here, too.
guys that have all consoles and don't buy into this crap.
p. s. 😏
the order 1886 was actually a great game, in many ways.
they just financially ran into a lot of trouble at the end of production.
they had put so much money and resources into building it from the ground up the lore the world the characters all of the art assets, everything to develop a concept.
the first iteration of it, is always incredibly expensive.
it suffered from the scenario that once they got all of that fleshed out, they'd spend so much money there wasn't a whole lot of room left to actually build out all of the ideas they had for the game.
so it won't end up being way too short, they just didn't have the money left to do what they wanted to do. it's a shame, if they would have had more financing it would have turned into twice the project it was, it deserves a sequel.
but you don't hear that out of them, (mostly) and that's one of their PlayStation games...

And 70 months of back peddling and broken promises.

russo1211847d ago

This is not only xbox one, it's any xbox in general, a mediocre product!

By RROD alone x360 was a technological failure, bad electronics and one of the worst consoles ever existed.

Weak article. Even if we had a meaningful conversation about 78 months of Xbox, it's already a fail because the writer excluded all the games rated below 70%. Sorry. That's a FAIL. It's only telling half the truth or partially the truth.

If we were rating a basketball player and the only stats presented was the 2 or 3 pointers he made, but not how many shots missed, that's not truthful stats. Only half of it.

Commentors can sit here and blah blah blah about first comments or trolls. Instead of the real truth about Xbox quality game releases that should have improved over time like Sony has done. But the only thing that had been improved is SERVICES. Not games. Sony is going out on a high with AAA releases and a surprise upsurge of releases and future releases on PSVR like Saints and Sinners, Iron Man, Sniper Elite, Vader Immortal, etc.

Chatter away to try and deflect the truth. Again, you're waiting for better games in the future but had the audacity to try and call PS4 "wait station." Must be embarrassing huh? Because the article never named any Game of the Year titles at all for those 7 years.

mobijoker1847d ago (Edited 1847d ago )

Thanks for your relevant comment and inputs. The games below 70% are not exactly excluded. Just they are not shown in the later charts (All releases are shown in first chart bars). At the end of the day, good games define a console. But your are right, Xbox maintained similar trend over the years for good or better(>70%) releases. Cannot comment on PS4 yet. Will look at that in next week.

As for developers, currently analyzing developer wise stats and it seems Playground is the only first party in Top 10 devs. Good thing Microsoft identified the issue and went on an acquisition spree. So, next gen the picture may change.

AmazingGeneration1847d ago

I think Microsoft is a sub 55 million console per generation brand. That’s not bad at all and nothing to be sneezed at but when you go around beating your chest and your fans act like you’re 100 million plus console company and actually compete in the world market on the level of Sony and Nintendo then you deserve to get bashed around.

Xbox 360 had inflated numbers with the RROD. Orginal Xbox 24, 360 84 (minus 35% modest RROD failure rate), Xbox one 46-48 (estimate).

Pure speculation on my part but let’s see how next gen goes for Microsoft.

PSN Store "Remasters & Retro" Sale Kicks Off

Sony has launched the PSN Store "Remasters & Retro" sale that discounts The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered for the first time.

OtterX1d 16h ago

That's great, Oblivion Remastered already on sale! Think I'll jump in.

I feel like Lunar Remastered should have been included on this one too though.
