A UK development source has confirmed to VG247 this morning that all PS3 titles entering submission after January 1, 2009 must have Trophies implemented, and that it's actually not possible to retroactively add Trophies to existing games.

I still believe that there are some games that should get patched for Trophies though:
-MGS4
-Fallout 3
and a few that I dont remember.

was the best way. New challenge mode that unlocked the trophies. Smartest way to play the game again without the frustration of knowing you've already done it before
I like that trophies are added with a patch a few weeks/months after the release date and that they are not retroactive.Just gives me a good reason to play the game again. As long as the online trophies are retroactive its all good.
They were retro-active on battlefield bad company, the online ones that is.
