I know this game is getting alot of hate right now, But man, I'm still super psyched to play it. Yeah, the story might not turn out how I want it to, and I probably might end up passionately mad at Druckman and ND - I jusy don't know yet as I've tried to most of the spoilers. But I won't judge a book by it's cover, or meme, or leaks or whatever.

Firstly, I'm going to reserved judgemnt until I play the full experience; and secondly, I have so many games that I still love and play where the story is just 'meh,' or completely forgetable, or none existent at all - and that hasn't really bothered me before. A game is much more that the sum of it's parts - even a game with whatever undertones, and the Last of Us II will still be a masterpeice in game design, sound design, graphics fidelity - and possibly even story telling.

Whatever happens, one thing we can all agree on, is that we'll still be talking about The Lsst of Us Part II for a long, long time after the credits roll.

Personally, I know the game is going to be great in terms of mostly everything. Even if there's a little cringe of a particular sort, that's not going to ruin the game for me as a whole.

Even if I knew what was going down after reading spoilers I'd still very much looking forward to 'playing the game' - emphasis on that last bit.

I've come across a lot of hate against TLou2 and Neil Druckmann. Youtube, instagram, here, twitter etc. I understand the hate on druckman and his SJW agenda etc. But come on to go and give him death threats.?

ND is getting my money Day 1. Because i support the staffs eho worked hard for this game. Who cares if you're forced to play so and so, who cares if someone died. Im a big fan of TLoU myself. Infact the game does not deserve a sequel as the ending for 1 was perfect.

I may not like the story of part 2 but i love everything else. The world, the infected. I'll trust ND. They wanna tell this story...let them.

This is ND following up on one of the greatest games of all time and have yet to make a bad game. I'm sure this will be no different.

IDK man, I've avoided the leaks and will buy this game Day 1 as ND has never let me down before. But if the consensus on the internet is right and the story is utter trash....for a narrative driven game its absolutely is a huge flaw, regardless of the gameplay innovations and phenomenal level of production. Its the same reason why despite having much better game play mechanics, Tomb Raider is dog pop compared to Uncharted

I was there just before they turn off the comments,and people just acting like assholes in the comments talking about golf clubs.
Wouldn't be the surprised they're the same type that annoy people try to enjoy their golf hobby they just do it with their own hobby and they don't know it.
I actually replied to one comment talking how a clicker knows where you are while in the cover really shows some of these people really never played the first game and never have the interest in the game in the first place.

Did he say what scene he was talking about? It doesn't seem to me like the clicker at 7:07 knows where Ellie is at all and most cover should actually protect you against echolocation fairly well.

The gameplay looks pretty good by the way. I wonder whether the dodge is just a button press that automatically determines the dodge for the given attack or whether it requires a directional input as well. I really like that they've pointed out that there are entire missable portions that'll reward the player for exploring the environment. One of my main criticisms with many modern games is that there are barely any worthwhile secrets to find in most games that aren't very hard to miss. This is especially an issue with open world games, which is why I usually don't really care to explore those huge worlds when there is nothing to find anyway. The Last of Us 2 is not an open world game of course, but it seems like it has big open areas so I hope there is some awesome stuff to discover in these levels.

They had the comments and likes/dislikes open for 2 hours and then disabled them. If they were scared of spoilers they would've disabled them from the get go. Seems like they didn't get rewarded for being "Brave" and disabled them after getting more hate.

After watching this video I've completely forgotten what the heck those qualms were all about already! I want that game, like, now!
Gee, it's an impressive send-off to the PS4 exclusives we're getting, with Dreams, Ghost of Tsushima, and the Last of Us Pt II, those visuals trick you into believing the PS5 is already here! That grass in particular, what kind of out-of-this-world wizardry are they using to have each blade move independently and accordingly to your moves, like in Ghost of Tsushima, on the hardware that came out in 2013, it makes me wonder...

That one dude of the team lost a lot of weight, and everybody seems so exhausted.

The different reviews for this game will be very interesting, but I have issues with Druckmann because he is an egotistical asshole. I feel that he is the main reason that Amy Hennig left ND. Anyways, my advice is to judge this game for yourself when it comes out.

I have platinumed the first game twice, once on PS3, then on PS4 Pro remaster. I was literally foaming at the mouth and drooling at the prospect of a sequel and have been counting down the days until release.

That was before I saw the leaks = Spoiler free comment = and subsequently found out that Neil Druckmann has butchered the narrative and been given free rein to insert his spurious & insidious agenda.

Then, he has insulted the fans like myself, who may dislike the direction, by insinuating we are all bigots, which could not be further from the truth.

Recently we have had YouTube videos of Troy simp Baker turning into a shill and pleading us to buy this production.

Well I ain't buying it. Ghost Of Tsushima is more for me. I have no doubt the The Last Of Us 2, from a production standpoint, will be of the highest quality, but as far as I'm concerned, I play games for "fun" and not to be subverted by Druckmann's simpering political agenda.

This gameplay video was the final straw. I hoped it would get back in my good graces by wowing me, but it failed and fell flat on it's backside by not showing nothing new. I dare say, the game will be a hit with the shill critics at IGN but will split the fans and be hated by many, myself included. Naughty Dog are dying with Druckmann at the helm.
