Unless you guys stop buying the damn MK8 Deluxe, not a chance. Nintendo is holding back this year because they know the PS4 and Xbone (LOL who am I kidding?) are not gonna sell that many units anymore due to the imminent next gen releases. Next year will be the true test for the longevity of the Switch and they are preparing for it. I'm even willing to bet at the very least, they already have the SM3DWorld Deluxe already being worked on and ready for release early next year alongside BoTW2...and maybe MK9 also coming.

i'm gonna go MAD if Bravely Defailt 2 is not soooooon! Have you guys played the demo? Octopath who!? This game is going to sell GREAT. I heard 5 high end addicting music themes on the demo already. Not to mention the gameplay and strategy they have already built into the game revealed in the demo. I'd buy a SWITCH for this game alone.

I didn't mention trails of cold steel 3 because I already beat it 3.8 times already. (easy, Normal, and Hard. 80% done with playing it on nightmare).

8 of those games are old ports and Minecraft is multiplat. Other than Xenoblade and Paper Mario that list has hardly any exclusives that are relevant. Looks like a drought to me.

Have not played Bioshock Infinite, Borderlands 2/presequel, Cold Steel 3, Outer Worlds, DOOM Eternal, XCOM, or King's Bounty 2 on the 3rd party side. And that is after playing the hell out of Trials of Mana and not even touching up on exclusive games like Animal Crossing (which was a suprise because I never expected to like it, let alone love it), Xenoblade, Bravely 2, Paper Mario, and Tokyo Mirage Sessions earlier this year (which was new to me).

Droughts are in the eye of the gamer and their needs, and for me they are just not there on Switch. Choosing to play games on a hybrid gives me more time to enjoy PS IPs, REmake 3, and FFVIIR as my time tied to a TV is limited to the weekend or very early morning.

Also if Paper Mario has taught us anything it should be that going forward due, to lack of directs from COVID, a new game or update could be dropped on us at any day instead of being saved for a direct. And that, is quite exciting TBH.

As someone who owns a PS4 Pro and buys all multiplats on Switch, it is because the hybrid nature of the consoles doubles my playtime. My limited time tied to a TV is used in either docked mode or playing the few 3rd party games I feel I must play that don't come to Switch like REmake 3 or FFVIIR. I also love PS 1st party IPs so there is that too.

In the end, most of my game time goes to Switch, and by doing so I can more effectively enjoying more of what gaming has to offer.

Luckily the majority have been top quality games and no one actually forced you to re buy the same game you could have always just played your original.

Nintendo's 3rd party support is still nowhere near Playstation and Xbox. The Switch versions usually come out later and even when they do release at the same time, the performance is sub par and Nintendo's online service sucks.

Having portability doubles my play time, so I buy all multiplats on Switch. The games I feel I must play on PS4 like FFVIIR and REmake 3, I play them on my pro. I had no problem waiting Outer Worlds because I was too pre occupied with other games on Switch. There is always something to play, just maybe not every brand new 3rd larty game right when it comes out. With that mentality, I would have missed out on a wide number of great games over the years (with or without Switch).

So I personally have never felt a true drought of games to ay on Switch, and I play o Switch 80 percent of the time because of how versatile it is for my lifestyle.

When your 3rd party support is as dearth as Nintendo's is, they sure as hell need to try. I don't expect a new AAA game every month. But every quarter, yeah I kind of do. When your 3rd party support is lacking compared to the competition, you have to try and make up for it by being more prolific with your 1st party offerings. It shouldn't be so hard now that Nintendo's not developing for two separate devices anymore (hand held and console). However the biggest crime is Nintendo charging full 60.00 for games that are nothing more than upres'd 3DS ports.

I'm sorry that I don't get excited for Baby's First Farm Sim. Being a grown man, a game like that just doesn't appeal to me. I also do not get overly excited over anime-heavy titles either. Paper Mario, maybe. I'll wait for reviews first. But as it stands I have not touched my Switch...save for a couple of rounds of Tetris 99, since Luigi's Mansion came out. The Switch blew it's load the fist couple of years, which I admit were awesome. But since then they have not been able to keep up that pace. They have so many great IP's they are just allowing to lie dormant. I simply don't understand it. Where's Punch Out? Where's Star Fox? Where's Excitebike? Where's Kid Icarus? Where's Metroid? Where's Donkey Kong? Where's Earthbound? Where's Pikmin? Where's F-Zero? Where's Kirby? Where's a new Splatoon? Where's Bayonetta? Where's a new Mario Kart? Where's Mario Golf? They have so many iconic IP's they're just sitting on. And as much as I liked Breath of the Wild, I can't believe we are getting a sequel to that before any of the above IP's have even been announced.

This year so far they had released Tokyo Mirage Session FE and Animal Crossing. And Xenoblade DE and Paper Mario are coming. Plus, are other third party exclusive as well such as Bravely Default 2, Deadly Premonition 2, No More Hero 3, and Story of Season Friends of Mineral Town. Not to mention other third party games as well.

They are trying their best, and in this uncertain time you can’t expect them to do more than they already had.

There are two Kirby games on the Switch. A new Splatoon for this gen wouldn’t do anything more than Splatoon 2, gameplay and graphic-wise. And Bayonetta 3 is still in development.

I think that the virus really messed some of Nintendo's plans up, and delayed announcements of games that they would have announced to ensure that they will be developed on time.

Case-in-point: Paper Mario. It was such a quick announcement, and the game comes out in two months. I'm hoping there will be more announcements like that once Nintendo ensures their developers get their bearings with developing games from a distance.

That being said, we aren't just getting two games this year. Nintendo has already released Tokyo Mirage Sessions, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and Animal Crossing. This month has Xenoblade and the month after has Paper Mario. Bravely Default 2 and No More Heroes 3 are coming this year, and I'm sure Nintendo will announce a game for the holiday season (because they always do).

My only complain are the game prices.
You get an inferior port of a ps4 /x1 game and you pay way more for it.
The same goes for first party games.
Games that launched 3 years ago are still full price.
If you re on a budget, Switch is definitely not the hardware for you.

I actually think they're going to have an amazing year this year....They are already selling out everywhere and with a number of high profile games coming down the pipe line, it's only going to get better. Yes we don't know EVRY game coming out BUT there still is LOZBOTW 2, Bayo 3, XenoBlade, Paper Mario, Borderlands, Bravely Default AND all the OTHER games that haven't been announced, its going to be a great year for Nintendo.....Also- they still haven't dropped the price of the Switch which they can when the other systems come out later this year.

I love Nintendo and it’s what I play when I take a break from PS4. That said, these are the same games for 20 years and new releases are really rare. They need to work on new franchises, new games. Heck, Mario Kart 9 on Switch would be amazing (and remember this is not a new MK). But I know I am dreaming. Heck remaster MK Wii.

What is Atlus up to these days? They ported a bunch of games to the 3DS. I would love to see more Japanese games. They were flying on cloud 9 during the height of the ps3 with Demon's Souls and the persona series.

I would like to see more lewd anime stuff like Gal Gun 2 and Senran Kagura.

I'm looking forward to Nekopara volume 4. I have the first three on the Switch.

Even with the PS4 and Xbox One, it's the same old, same old. Nintendo can release almost any game and Switch owners will buy it. And yes, the Switch is a handheld that can be plugged into a TV, as with the PSP all those years ago. But Nintendo still hasn't given Nintendo fans a new Wave Race and Pilotwings. For me, Wave Race would be the ultimate. It's about time that Nintendo started churning out games that are well overdue a sequel. We'll probably never see a sequel to Stunt Race FX and a 3D Wario World, but I can still dream. A new Legend of the Mystical Ninja from Konami would be another. Legendary game on the Super Nintendo.

Dude, its 2020. Its beyond time to stop questioning Nintendo's success. No one has been in the game longer and yet dummies keep questioning them. I got me a Switch lite and to be honest, I rarely play it now under quarantine. However, they have NO competition in the handheld space. Do you really believe they will struggle now? Geesh.

Remember when folks claimed Sony's handheld was going to crush them? Sony no longer is in the handheld space. They got crushed and slinked out the back door. Remember, the cell phone market and iphone games was going to crush Nintendo's handheld? Guess what? That did not happen either.
