Xbox hasn't been a competitor since the XB360. Last generation and this generation Sony has been running circles around Xbox. As for Sony vs Nintendo Sony runs circles yes but I don't really see Nintendo as competition. Nintendo does their own thing and it works.

I dont believe Nintendo will make another gaming system until 2024 or after because the switch is selling well even though its game catalog consists of 95 percent ports of old games. Nintendo realize that they can keep porting games to the switch that were released years ago and people will still buy it.
A lot of people are waiting on an upgraded switch, but some will put that money to new consoles. Growth can go either way.
