This is a social game. Sharing your little world with friends is nearly the whole point. Playing solo gets old fast. Visiting a friends town and checking out his house will always be cooler than conversing with the NPCs around your town. The Wii Speak accessory will be a boon for any serious "Crossers" as typing with the wiimote can be frustrating and slow. The tv-mounted microphone allows you to speak freely without a headset.
