Super interested in the game and day 1 for me as I love twin stick shooters and I love the setting and colour pallet but the games clearly alpha and clearly in need of lot of work still, animations at the end, performance issues and little skips or jumps and a lot of signs you couldn't read as too pixalated so again more work needed but it does look good and right up my street. Not bashing but clearly alpha but very promising
Seems it wouldnt be a new gen without a twin stick shooter to go with it. I remember playing a lot of Geometry Wars at the start of last gen and just as much Super Stardust Ultra this gen.
The setting, aesthetics, and overall presentation looks incredible but it plays like a twin-stick shooter with co-op and I don't really like that if this truly an RPG. I can't really tell if it's a Diablo-like game or what is really going on. That dark and metal Si-FyberPunk style is badass though.
@neutralgamer1992 The game is releasing on the base xbox one too so of course base ps4 can run this so I'm assuming he's must be responding to the ps3/360 part of the comment if not then he smoking something
Nobody could possibly believe that indies and smaller scale games would just disappear, or that the ushering in of next-gen means these types of games will or should fall out of existence.
Also, for what this is, it's fantastically detailed and visually impressive overall.
And, I think most games will be cross-gen this time around anyhow. XBO and PS4 are both still very capable consoles. They just don't hit 4K without going to Pro or X versions. And the Pro and X versions probably can't do the detail we see here.
IGN XB20/20 recap video said they have seen and have extended gameplay demos from the games (questioning MS's reasoning behind not using them), more than likely they were not allowed to release until now, post show.
Either way, bitch there wasnt gamepay, release some gameplay, bitch about the reasoning behind releasing it.... People love to moan.
Yeah, you can smell the damage control xbox is trying to do. And by showing a game that look like a mobile game... Honestly, how low have xbots standards got? If this was a PS5 game people would be writing articles left and right on how doomed sony was.
You sound like a hurt ex girlfriend. Grow up. The fact that you call people “xbots” shows your true colors. And all that “if this was a ps5 game” crap is just made up bs out your mouth. In fact if this was a ps5 game this thread wouldn’t be over run with haters.
"This gameplay video releasing now sure seems like a reaction..."
To this day, Naughty Dog couldn´t give us that TLOU 2 PAX demo because it´s not as simple as people think, yet, somehow, The Ascent devs had no problems puling that magical hat trick to give IGN a demo to "react" the day after Inside Xbox. S/
I think it looks good but I don't think a game with that sort of camera angle can really show much of what a machine can do (not saying it doesn't look good) there will come other games like action adventure and FPS that will really show what these next gen consoles are capable of
Because of no E3 I guess IGN will do doing a lot of these IGN first sort gameplay
Now this is something I can get behind. Even though it looks like it’s getting played by a 12 year old girl. But I think this is just what interests gamers most is game play whether you’re an Xbox guy or PlayStation. Pretty sure we can all agree to that. If you want to share a trailer do so discretely on your channels or for a television commercial. Save resources and market more strategically this way you don’t get shunned for showing a bunch of trailers that gamers are not hungry for.
exactly !, why MS brag about so much power and then these are their offerings at moment, don't have too much hope for their exclusive game presentation in July still let's see what happens, at this point their damaging a lot their next gen xbox console with this kind of presentations.
Funny how a lot of sci-fi future games have us interacting with aliens and shooting laser guns and yet they are always using inferior neon lighting with ballasts which is almost obsolete in the 21st century already
O.o
The attention to detail... is... INSANE
I love how Phil is making RPGs and Horror games on Xbox a prority. Regarding this particular game:
Day One!

My base ps4 can run this, maybe even 360 and ps3.
nice!
