That's a cool feature for beginners. I like the difficulty curve in the beginning. It makes every set of armor and every boss fight feel like an accomplishment.

I've never got into this game although I've owned it for years. Any advice you could give?

I would recommend watching this video to help you get started. If it's your first time, you might want to try a small world, and on softcore, so that the game is less overwhelming. And just be patient. You will die a lot in the beginning and that's totally normal. Besides that, just keep steadily progressing by upgrading your weapons and armor. And if you have any trouble whatsoever (beating bosses, crafting recipes etc) there are countless YouTube vids to help you out. It's more of a marathon than a race, so try and enjoy the ride. You could also try this "Journey Mode" and once you get comfortable with the game, you might consider starting a new game and trying it out on normal difficulty.

It's kind of bizarre that this is their big last patch, in my eyes. You'd think that this many years after release, everyone who wanted to play it has played it. Their audience is about as big as it will get, and certainly higher than any potential new players. So instead of focusing the brunt of their efforts on giving the tens of millions of current players more to do, they are focusing on the beginners experience? I'm a bit confused by this - added easy mode for "newcomers" a decade after launch lol.

This is not what I would call value for money spent. They give you quests in liveservice games to get you "re-engaged" with the monetization schemes or to get you hooked or so you at least spend some extra on skins and loot boxes. Then they dole out paltry points after you have already paid extra for whichever liveservice within a liveservice that you are already paying for. My worry is people can't actually be that stupid to fall for this, can they?

Absolutely nothing in this comment makes sense. At all.

anast626d ago (Edited 626d ago )

How does it not make sense? O thy god of reason, shine some evidence upon us. Ryse of Rome, ESO,and AC: Origins are all live service games, between them you can get 275 points. Liveservice games are made to keep people spending. Therefore, Gamepass is a live service and the points are for playing live service games.

It is not my problem that this does not make sense to you, it is absolutely your problem. I mean it is all your problem.

Hate Xbox but comments in every Xbox article 😂 without making sense smh

Bring the evidence and then your emoji might make sense.
