Did they drop the ball by not giving Resistance 2 a World wide release

Theepicne writes: So here I am sitting here on the 20th of November 2008, Still waiting for Resistance 2 to drop in Europe. The game has been out in North America for two whole weeks now competing along side Gears Of War 2 for the Xbox 360. But what grinds my gears is that considering Sony and Insomniac wanted to come out on the same week as Gears 2, wouldn't it have been more effective to have a world wide release?

That's true. I wonder why Sony and Insomniac wanted R2 to come out the same week as GeoW2, if the former only in NA while the latter worldwide. They could've just planned for a worldwide release.

The truth is I'm not bothered at all if GeoW2 sales beats R2 sales by a huge amount. Kudos to people who got their hands on R2 and Gears2 first. I just want to have my own copy. I'll just have to wait then.

The more people online the better.

A worldwide release would definitely have helped with the hype machine. We'll have to wait for this months sales numbers to come in to get a good idea of how it did.

Yes they did drop the ball.I am in london and i was pissed to hear that its not coming out the same time when it came out in america. And it will obviously affect sales, and i have not seen any adds over here either.Sony really needs to step there game up i marketing.

While Sony are constantly dropping the ball, PS3 fanboys are waiting for their balls to drop.

You do know the average age of PS3 owners is higher don't you?

SO, it looks like most 360 owners are waiting for their balls to drop.

PirateThom3838d ago

360 owners are mostly female, so the ball dropping will never happen.

Just because they love boys doesn't make them girls.

That was one of the most biggest PWNAGE comments I have ever read on here. The following replies are all weak and predictable.

Pennywise3838d ago

Firstknight... how was that even remotely the best comment? If it was about the 360, which has a younger fan base who care not for quality, only tea bagging... I think it would of held more water if he was accurate with his synopsis.

Nice try though Jenzo, tell mommy Pennywise said to give you a cookie.

Mr_Bun3838d ago

Why is it, that balls seem to be coming in or out of your mouth? I think someone has Penis Envy...

Pennywise3838d ago

Penis envy?? lol more like Penis obsession.

You guys have no sense of humor. Or no balls. Maybe that's why you got so defensive...

Playing LittleBigPlanet won't help you grow any balls. You need more testosterone. Man games. Try playing Gears of War 2 and your balls will hit the ground in no time. I had to wear a diaper when I played it to keep my balls from falling out.

I'm playing Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Balls at the moment and I can feel my balls growing back into my body cavities for every cutie jiggy puzzle piece I collect. The games title is so misleading.

PirateThom3838d ago

The homoerotic undertones of Gears of War says "no".

Bromance, wth?!

InMyOpinion3838d ago (Edited 3838d ago )

As long as I don't have to stare at Snakes g-string while he's crawling in front of me I'm fine. Until he rolls over and looks at me with his grotesque Freddy Mercury-stasche that is...

Why does Snake sport a g-string and YMCA-stasche, you might ask?

Well, Kojima made a crucial design decision knowing that the majority of the PS3's install base concists of closet homosexuals. Not that there's anything wrong with that. He just knows what his audience wants.

I think November 24th is the second bullet in the chamber for R2.

I think that Sony/Insomniac wanted to see how well it would sell in America, then they would know how hard to push the advertising over the next 2 weeks in Europe.

I could be totally wrong though. Just speculating.
