Not gonna lie, didn't expect this. :)

I went to dl journey this morning and this popped up before I could do so. Really small (less than 500mb) so it didnt take long.

Crazyglues1841d ago

Wait then why is mine 1.9 GB is it because I got the remaster version, and if that's what I have why the hell doesn't it tell you it's that version..

It ask me to pick which version but didn't show no difference between the two...? Why...?

darthv721841d ago (Edited 1841d ago )

@crazy, the 7.50 update is what I was talking about... being small and not taking long.

Can’t they just fix the slow menu for once?

Luc201841d ago

Update won't work on your favourite console I'm afraid :-/

web10171841d ago

I had that issue with slow menu with lag, I found that by disabling "HDMI Device Link" in the settings, the slow down in the menu was gone. Try it out.

why dislikes? My pro menu is slow to.

S2Killinit1841d ago (Edited 1841d ago )

Most people haven't had that issue, me included. So they probably think its trolling.

I had issue with content loading slow, but that was internet related.

RedDevils1841d ago

Both my orignal and pro has no menu lag. Maybe try reset your ps4

FITSniper1841d ago

Yeah I don't really notice the menu being slow unless a game is loading and the CPU is busy.

Because most are clueless idiots.

rainslacker1841d ago

When it happens, there is a fix for it. Most people dont have slow menus

badboyz091841d ago

Put an ssd in your ps4 pro, issue solved

Chocoburger1841d ago

I have a launch PS4 and its not slow, I use a 2TB platter HDD, not an SSD and there's no UI lag at all. However maybe this video will help you!
https://www.youtube.com/wat...

Last year I opened up my PS4 and cleaned out all the dust, I also changed the thermal paste to a higher quality version (Arctic Silver MX-4 2019 Edition) and I used Arctic Silver thermal pads on the RAM chips. My PS4 runs cooler and quieter than it did on launch day!

Highly recommended to perform a few fairly easy changes and all your problems will be solved.

Visceral891841d ago

The link you provided mentions nothing about thermal paste or cleaning your dust out but one of the tips is getting an ssd

KwietStorm_BLM1841d ago

Not gonna happen at this point.

Donnie811841d ago

Be nice if they did. It takes forever to get in and out of the PlayStation store.

"PS4 Firmware Update 7.50 Changelog

Main features in version 7.50 update

This system software update improves system performance
Sony had released a beta firmware update for the PS4 early in March. They were testing out 7.50 firmware with a beta test which appears to have made an important change for HDMI devices. The new firmware has implemented a new HDMI standard which should help with the newer technology."

KwietStorm_BLM1841d ago

Is there some kind of strange system limitation that disallows adding apps from TV & Video to folders, or is it just a ridiculous oversight?

Stanjara1841d ago

It is intentionally like that so that you can see all other apps with paid subscription, over and over again.
Then eventually you get the idea about that Netflix thing, click on trial and guess what, they have a new sub.

KwietStorm_BLM1841d ago

But that's silly. It's not even PlayStation's subscriptions, or in the case of something like Youtube or Plex, not necessarily a sub at all.

The Community Is Split on the Uniform Skins for The First Descendant Coming on April 30

On April 30, we will get a set of Uniform Skins for the ladies of The First Descendant, but the community is split on them, with some being very excited and others criticizing Nexon for doing “skins-over-content” once more.

I mean, it looks cheesy to me. You have way cooler designs for the characters.
