I know I am always up for a good racing game.

dro5629d ago

What game is this and is it a brand new IP

Jimmy the Greek5629d ago

i guess its a reboot of a 12 year old franchise

CrAppleton5629d ago

Rebooting franchises has been quite the hit lately

InMyOpinion5629d ago

It's an old arcade game, developed by Konami. Quite entertaining.

Jimmy the Greek5629d ago (Edited 5629d ago )

so this is a reboot of an old franchise?

PirateThom5629d ago

It's a remake of GTI Club with improved sound and graphics, new cars and new modes.

CrAppleton5629d ago

Right.. GTI Club was an old arcade game.. well I say old, but it was 1996. So.. for some of us that's not that old of an arcade game =)

Jimmy the Greek5629d ago

gotcha, i havent played in an arcade for many years. its hard to believe that this game is over a decade old, damn

bgrundman5629d ago (Edited 5629d ago )

I actually hit an arcade last weekend when I was out of town... the Mario Kart arcade game is still a blast, even now!

Hobb5629d ago

I love arcades, they just don't seem to compete with consoles anymore though.. and it sucks waisting all your money

@CrAppleton -- 1996 is considered old? Old is playing Pong off a game system my dad made from a kit. Old is playing Dig Dug in the corner convenience store. Old is going to the mall arcade and playing Donkey Kong. Old is thinking Asteriods was a damn lot of fun. That's old. 1996 was 12 years ago.

bgrundman5629d ago

Good point, but at the same time, I have heard my coworkers refer to the N64 as "the old Nintendo"... It made me want to cry

Jimmy the Greek5629d ago

wow jimmyjames70... youre old :P

CrAppleton5629d ago

LOL.. yeah.. 1996 isn't old.. but that was my point.. it's being considered a "classic" arcade game.. and when I think of "classic" arcade, I think pacman and donkey kong.. and the original mario bros. where you just fight for coins.

Neco5125629d ago

WOW are you guys old or what?

Jimmy the Greek5629d ago

call me picky but i dont really care for racing games either

CrAppleton5629d ago

no worries.. I've always had a thing for a good racer.. you know it's a good one when your heart is racing just before the finish line

Hobb5629d ago

How can you NOT like racing games?

Jimmy the Greek5629d ago

because im not shooting things and nothing is dying, mostly

CrAppleton5629d ago

They aren't for everybody =)

bgrundman5629d ago

I am a HUGE racing fan, especially racing sims

Neco5125629d ago

If things aren't dying you're playing the wrong racing games >:)

Too bad xboxers won't get a chance to see this one

Hobb5629d ago

I'd rather see this one on xbox than the psn. I'm not a huge fan of the psn

Meet the victims of digital distribution – games you can't buy anymore

When a game released exclusively digitally disappears from distribution, it becomes impossible to play it legally. Actually, quite a few gems have disappeared in this manner, with the legendary P.T. being just the beginning of the story.

I'll support physical for as long as possible.

melons1406d ago

Nice message and physical should always be supported, but I am not supporting this article being set across like nine pages.

CDbiggen1406d ago

GTI Club! Finally someone mentions it. Loved that game

AK911406d ago (Edited 1406d ago )

Ugh multipage article.

GameSpot: GTI Club Plus Review

GTI Club Plus is good if you're a nostalgic fan of the original arcade machine. Newcomers, on the other hand, will find that the maps, modes, and features lack the depth of modern racing games. However, if you want to try a racer that does things a bit differently, GTI Club Plus is definitely worth taking a look at.
