Obsidian Entertainment’s Grounded is a unique survival game that shrinks down to fit on the Switch, but is it a worthy experiment?
Microsoft has today released the third of four Xbox games currently announced for PS5, PS4 boxes: the online survival title Grounded. You can grab a digital copy now from the PS Store for £32.99 / $39.99, granting you access to the final Fully Yoked Edition, which Obsidian Entertainment says is the last content update the game will receive. One of the best survival games ever made imo. Will probably pick this up on PS5. PlayStation fans are in for a treat.
It's funny. PS5 gets the best versions of xbox games. Both Sea of thieves and Grounded were underwhelming when they first launched, and now they're pretty good games.
@NotoriousWhiz its only logical though. The versions launching carry over all updates and enhancements that the games received over the years.
This is similar to waiting to buy the ultimate or game of the year edition which includes all DLC, patches, updates and some cosmetics or extras.
But yes, upon launch, Sea of Thieves was truly barebones which was rather strange given its long development cycle and budget (I suspect it was on purpose to start adding things with updates to justify the live service game status).
Grounded nevertheless received good reviews at the time of its launch.

Hoping for RE2, Greedfall, or more final fantasies on gamepass this month along with a trailer for something we haven't seen yet. Maybe whatever Compulsion games is working on.
