Capcom Is Asking Fans For Another Resident Evil Remake In New Survey

Resident Evil 3 Remake has just launched for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It follows a Resident Evil 2 Remake, but Capcom apparently has a plan for more.

It's a weird game. The gameplay is very similar to the first two, but some choices made it more approachable while the 3D visuals were pretty cool at the time but made collecting items a far more annoying process. It's story is bizarre to say the least, is a bunch of convenient stuff happening in order to get the characters going in an environment that lacks cohesion.

Overall it's a game that could really be fleshed out in the form of a remake.

The new remake was a cheap custom editing of Capcom engine ...poor environments , poor remade plot , Ugly Jill ,mediocre remade monsters , less variety , literaly a medcocre to bad remake in comparison to the material they had available ....

RE1 remake looks like a legendary gem in front of this quickly made cheap ass remakes.

I disagree and put RE CV up there with the best of the RE games. Might be my favorite actually. Hmm have to think on that. None the less great game. Great story beats and they tried a lot with this entry. Felt fresh and familiar at the same time. Love it

My perception of this game changed a lot throughout the years. It was one of the reasons of why I bought a Dreamcast way back in the day. And I love it, beat it a number of times and was one of my favorite games on the platform.

But after playing it again many years later and without hype backing me up. I found way more design issues with it than any of the other three classic Resident Evil.

That said I don't think it is a bad game. And there is a lot of potential there, so a full remake would be very welcome for me.

No it's not and I've no idea if you really played it..
It's the first re with a story other than umbrella making zombies and that's all.
The game is very long, much longer than the other 3 and was on 2CDs on dreamcast. I really want CV remake, the best RE yet.

Naruga, first time I have to agree with you. RE3 is a let down and is a cheap remake. Nemesis from the first second is lame.no possible to switch side to aim, the maps in the city aren't positioned on each other making it hard to know where I am. Don't know how this could be approved

You really have to conserve your supplies in this one which is part of the reason I love it so much. Same thing happened to me but once you save up enough ammo to beat the plane Tyrant the rest of the game is really worth it.

I only played the first hour and thought it was boring should have given it a chance its the only one i didnt play. Code veronica came out close to D3 on sega dream cast and D3 sucked me in fast had 3 or 4 disks i really enjoyed it.

If they are going to do it right then I am all for it like resident evil 2 remake If they are going to rush it to the market like resident evil 3 and actually has less content than the original game then what's the point

I think they should remake it and they should also remake 4. The gameplay could be the biggest change and the biggest update the games need along with story tweaks instead of having just 100% same story as before make changes to make it better

Really enjoyed Code Veronica, in fact it was my first PS2 game. The game had good enemy variety and boss battles. Would really love to see what Capcom can do with Giant Spiders as the Hunters and Lickers were class.

Code Veronica is my favorite. It made Wesker the BAMF villain that he is and was one of the longer games. It was cool to play as both Redfields in the same game.

The thing is I want a Remake but this time don’t cut content. Change it up or add things is fine, but treat this like Square is treating the FF7 Remake.

Yes I hope they do the remake as they have the game engine up and running and the control mechanics. Code Veronica had cool enemy types such as Bandersnatch, Sweeper Hunter and the Black widow. Battling them again has me excited for a potential remake.

Remake them all in the newer style. Beat 3 today, and although it was very short, I loved it. Honestly a bit overpriced for $60, but worth $40 all day. Anyways, would love to see RE1, 0 and CV all done in the new engine.

This was the most puzzle based game in the series so they have to really get the balance right this time because the original was all over the place they tried to do it all with CV but mastered none of the aspects.
Unless the current team learn from their mistakes then I don't see them get it right this is a much harder game to remake.

Code Veronica is the true sequel to Resi 2 and is far superior to 3 in every single way. Sony screwed Capcom and made them call their Sony game Resi 3 whilst the Dreamcast got the better game but the number was stripped and they had to call it Code: Veronica. Look it up.

I always hope for the best for this franchise but I find myself disappointed when the final product is delivered. The reality of the situation is that Capcom didn't hit that home run with this all new edition of RE2 and RE3 Remake. But you fake Resident Evil fans wanna play the "Shut up and take my money." game with Capcom. That's why we REAL RE fans are hesitant to ask for an all new edition of Code Veronica. We know that we're more than likely to be bitterly disappointed. But you fake RE fans who came from Fortnite to these all new editions of RE don't care. You never have and you never will. You just want to run and gun like you do in Fortnite; that's pretty much all you do in this all new edition of RE3.

Code Veronica remake could be epic. Edit some of the cheese, update the puzzles and atmosphere naturally, keep the epic boss battles. This one could be done better than the original if given then budget, some TLC, and enough time in the oven

I'm sorry but the new model for Claire is garbage. She looks anorexic and the face looks like if Julia Stiles did RE cosplay. They should have made the RE2 remake Claire look like how the Claire model looked in the Opening CG cutscene of CV where she's running from the Helicopter, THAT would have looked way cooler than the downright ugly RE2 remake Claire. Leon looked great, don't know why they did Claire so dirty like that when they could have kept her looking THICC AND beautiful AF.

I am going to go out on a limb and say this is one the first RE's that was so next-gen for it's time that it doesnt need a remake. But capcom being Capcom, they'll try to rush out a remake that
1. Makes all the characters look like anorexic wax porcelain dolls
2. Removes all the atmosphere of the original's dynamic camera pans with a boring over the shoulder view.
3. Completely removes some of the best segments of the game.
To me Claire Redfield in CV was the first videogame character that I felt was a more living, breathing, fully realized woman than most ACTUAL girls I had known at the time (being only 10yrs old) and anything less than a remake that stays 100% true to the original while making the entire in-game graphics look like the awesome opening CG cutscene where Claire is dodging that Helicopter would be an absolute Insult to my entire childhood.
A quick cashgrab for CV is not what is needed for this game as I fail to think unless all this criteria is met, how they are going to take an already 10/10 game (atleast for me) and make it an 11/10 game..
