Someone tried to rob me in Animal Crossing

Eurogamer: It was a week after I'd established my swap shop in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and things had been going surprisingly well. After testing it with friends I'd opened my island up to the wider community via dodo code, and most people were behaving. Guests were swapping out unwanted items and finding new trinkets to take home, with many showing stunning generosity and sending kind messages. There were a couple who stretched the rules by leaving flowers or a single iron nugget, but I was willing to forgive them (particularly given someone had donated 300k bells to cover costs). Demand had grown so great, in fact, that I'd even set up a swap shop Twitter account just to manage all the requests to visit.

And then, as always, someone tried to ruin it all.

I'll keep that in mind. I don't think I'll be so open with Trosstopia. I mean, I'll probably invite friends over, including the friend who just got the game today. I may invite people on this site who PM me, but probably not a whole party of them.

Trosstopia Day 8,

Resident services is closed today, so I can't redeem Nook Miles, but I look forward to checking out the new building tomorrow. Zipper doesn't seem to be around, but Gulliver washed up on one of my beaches...again. That guy is something else...

In spite of being landlocked, I did manage to craft two more ensembles for a total of five out of six, plus two more Bunny Day items. It's a work in progress. Plucky and Genji talked to each other today. Maybe that was fixed by an update. Marina was singing today. That seems to be new as well. Neat.

There's not much to talk about today. I caught one more butterfly and completed one of my fossils. One of my friends got the game today so I'm looking forward to the fun we will have. Otherwise, it has been a pretty chill day.

After the hype wore off during the height of COVID I found New Horizons disappointing compared to. Ew Leaf

NH gave us a lot more cool features but then took things away which they slowly drip fed us with poor updates

Crazy how much it sold and how popular it was during COVID and it got such terrible support

We need more control in the next game, the fact we couldn’t move the airport or town hall was ridiculous and certain items were randomised, like I could get a black lamppost unless a friend gave me one of his because mine were green.

In the end I still prefer New Leaf, one of the most important factors being the breakable tools. It gets pretty annoying when you have to keep making bug nets, fishing rods etc in New Horizons.

It came out at the perfect time and was completely abandoned save for a couple of small updates. Those months after release could have taken the game to a whole other level but I guess Nintendo wasn’t impressed with the number of active players.

The 7 Best Selling Switch Games of All Time

Animal crossing came out the week the entire world shutdown. Yeah I bought it.

Agreed. I think a lot of the AC: H sales have to do with early lockdown players!

I mean, I would've played it anyway. But I guess there's a lot of people who got into it because of the hype and their new found free time!

Nintendo made out like bandits with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. It's the same game that was on the WiiU except they added 2 item boxes like in double dash.

It's the Capcom method:

1. Add a new word to the end of the title and features that should've been expected first time around.
2. Charge full price for it.
3. Profit.

this is why i always say that Nintendo will always be fine. look at those numbers lol

and those are all first party games.
