WTMG's Leo Faria: "My thoughts regarding The Complex are very similar to the ones I had regarding Late Shift. Although better than its predecessor when it comes to its production values, setting, and overall plot, it still suffers from its limited gameplay and replayability. It’s an interactive movie, not a full-fledged video game per se. It’s good for one, maybe two playthroughs. Were this a title on Gamepass, I could easily recommend playing it at least once, but actually purchasing it right now for its current pricetag would be like buying a Blu-ray and only watching it once. It’s a good movie, just not a very rewatchable one, even with its multiple endings."
XBA says: The Complex showcases character growth, great acting and multiple endings.
COG writes: The developers of The Late Shift, Wales Interactive, are back again with an all new interactive film, The Complex. Are you willing to make the tough decisions to save your city? This game certainly sets out to test that very theory.
KeenGamer: "The Complex has numerous endings. Our guide will show you how each ending can be achieved. A single choice can change the outcome of the entire story, leaving you wondering how things could have gone differently. Don't wonder anymore."
