Resident Evil 3 Review - A Bland Action-Packed Sequel | AusGamers

As a follow-up to last year’s excellent and impressive Resident Evil 2 Remake – which saw Capcom utilise the RE Engine to stunning effect – it’s a little weird playing Resident Evil 3 for the first time in 2020. And not because we’re in the middle of an actual viral outbreak with the entire world under quarantine. No, the reason for the weirdness stems from the story and tone of this Resident Evil 3 remake feeling very much like the product of its time.

I would buy it if it was actually a RE2 DLC. RE3 demo did not feel the same way RE2 felt for me.

Should of kept the grenade mouthing instead of the Dodge. Claire looks like the girl I would marry, Jill is a bitch and looks like shit. I don't even want to try saving Jill.

It has some missing areas. Maybe they were expecting too much from RE3 remake but they were not expecting too much from 60$ game

Well RE3 was never THAT great to begin with. Even when I was a kid it felt like a half arsed entry to the series. Like copy and paste or something.. Could never put my finger on it.

I don't even think expecting every area from the original to be there was expecting too much. The original REmake pulled that off like a charm while adding to it. It set a real standard that modern Capcom doesn't seem to want to acknowledge.

I thought I was crazy for not liking the demo but after seeing some of these reviews, it's making me feel less crazy. RE2 on the other hand was a masterpiece, I'm currently playing it through a 2nd time and I never do that with games.

Something about RE3 I didn't like, almost feels like they were trying too hard to be cool or something. Something just felt off about it
