God bless them and God help us all. Stay safe everyone

fr0sty1492d ago (Edited 1492d ago )

That's one tenth of what Facebook, a multi-BILLION dollar company, offered to give. Impressive (and shameful for FB).

Jon615861492d ago

What have you given? Because if you haven't given anything you have know room to talk about how much one should've given.

AnubisG1492d ago

Who decides how much an individual or a company must give to not be called "shameful"?

Be grateful that Facebook gave anything. How much did you give?

Shane Kim1492d ago

If we give the amount in percentage that fb gave it wouldn't amount for anything. It would be like we gave a cent.

Atticus_finch1491d ago

Why are you guys defending efffing FB. SMH

rainslacker1491d ago (Edited 1491d ago )

Yeah. Shameful of facebook to just give away 10 million of their liquid capital.

Shame, shame shame. March them through the streets naked and throw rotten food at them.

I'm not a fan of FB, but give credit where it's due.

Good guy CDprojektRed.

My only wish is that because of this pendemic, humanity will finally find the cure for viruses so we don't have to suffer through a flu, cold or this ever again.

Atticus_finch1491d ago

Sorry dude, that's not how it works. The virus has to come into existance before we can try to develop a vaccine. That's why you need a flu shot every year. Viruses are constantly changing.
But one thing is sure, the entire world should be much better prepared for next time.

rainslacker1491d ago

The vaccine for the flu is basically a version of the flu they expect to be prevalent that year, in a form that doesnt replicate persistently. Your bodies immune system fights off the basic version, then is more like to be immune to the actual flu virus. Because of this, there is no way to just make a permanent vaccine, and the cold and flu are two different kinds of viruses.

Considering GoG.com was in financial trouble last year, this is huge of CDPR to do. What an amazing company.

lobyz1490d ago (Edited 1490d ago )

if they couldn't afford it, they wouldn't. Don't forget the incredible increase of witcher game sales with the netflix serie and the royalties for all derived goodies. It's colossal. Not for nothing they have finally announced a new witcher game while they said some months ago it would not be a new witcher game development before several years (stay a good news I love this ip).

The only PlayStation dev I care about tbh.

Hopefully doesn’t take them a complete gen to release it

Good. Something not boring, not one of those "make your own game" crap and also on Steam would be nice.

"the capital group of PCF Group S.A."

If you're getting funding from a group that needs two different ways of Acronyming itself, things will not go the way you want them to.

banger881d 3h ago

If it was more online-only crap then good riddance.

jjb198114h ago

Outriders was crap. They slapped that game together and threw in a loot system to get players' attention. This game was absolutely jank and the always online nonsense made it stutter like crazy. People Can't Optimize.

thorstein13h ago

I liked Outriders but I could see where the artistic vision was compromised. The way the industry is now, it wouldn't surprise me that upper management would scrap something that didn't pull in money via gaas, mts, or other means.

Escape from Tarkov Unheard Edition Reneges on Promised Content Behind $250 Price Tag

The new Escape from Tarkov Unheard Edition has the community in an outrage after promising exclusive access to the new PvE mode for $250 USD.

Christopher1d 3h ago

$250? Do they not know all the other games that already exist or will be made in the future that can do similar?

SimpleDad18h ago(Edited 18h ago)

This is for the hardcore people that have 2500 h in the game. They basically play that one game the whole year.
Oh and those same people are mad as hell at this... what a way to reward fans of your game and annihilate newcomers.

got_dam3h ago

Read a comment earlier calling it a "special monetization operation." I had to chuckle at that.
