TNS: "ADHD can be a rather depilating mental disorder, but I've learned to cope with it by always having these games on hand."
For me it's always been fighting games like SF, Tekken, GG etc.. it really gets my mental stack flowing and forced to take a thinking approach as opposed to playing brain dead.
Everyone should be ready to shoot their way through humans and demons by reading about the best FPS games on the PS4.
While some video games overwhelm you with sheer scale, titles like Asura's Wrath and Doom Eternal make you the boss player right upfront.
So happy that people are digging this game.
Looks so good, and I'm liking the overall difficulty ramp-up of the game. The constant, on-the-fly weapon changing with additional aerial and grounded movement makes the combat a lot more tense, interesting, and fun.
Been hearing nothing but good things from players.
I'm enjoying it & it looks so much better than the 2016 version on the PS4 Pro far as design, graphics & resolution while the 2016 version looked washed out on the Pro.
The game is such a bore, ive just downloaded doom 64 and enjoying it so much more.
The new doom is so repetitive with no real objective apart from run gun jump repeat.
I prefer games with a bit more depth, heck even the original dooms had atmosphere and jump scares.
Ive tried to up the difficulty but its still a chore to play.
This is just my opinion, please dont let it put you off buying the game if its the type of game experience you like.
I think what's commendable about what they've done with Doom Eternal is that it's gameplay over ALL else. It's also just gloriously indulgently over the top.
I can sort of understand the gripes some people have with the less serious tone, even than 2016, which I didn't feel was a "serious" tone at all. But it doesn't stick to a narrative tonal consistency, and I suppose that's a critique. However, it does have its own consistent vision. And the grandeur and detail of the levels offers a lot of atmosphere and charm.
Overall I like it more than 2016, but that's just becaue it's so much fun to play. The challenge is extremely rewarding as you gradually learn how to maximise your combat flow. To be honest, though, I never saw Doom as survival horror - apart from 3 - it was always more of a gorefest. And frankly the scare in Eternal is the intensity of the encounters and some of the more terrifying enemies.
