DOOM: Eternal can be a challenging game, and the Marauder boss (your first encounter with this sort of enemy) represents both a critical story moment and one of the absolute toughest parts of the campaign. Many of the weapons, tactics, and techniques that you've learned up to this point in the game don't serve you well in this fight, due to the Marauder's defensive abilities and the extremely compact arena in which the battle takes place.
TNS: "ADHD can be a rather depilating mental disorder, but I've learned to cope with it by always having these games on hand."
For me it's always been fighting games like SF, Tekken, GG etc.. it really gets my mental stack flowing and forced to take a thinking approach as opposed to playing brain dead.
Everyone should be ready to shoot their way through humans and demons by reading about the best FPS games on the PS4.
While some video games overwhelm you with sheer scale, titles like Asura's Wrath and Doom Eternal make you the boss player right upfront.
Great article. My first encounter with the Marauder was a royal pain in my a$$ (I play on Ultra-Violence); but then once I found that middle distance, combined with circle straffing (to maintain said distance) I was able to dispatch him in a few goes. Once he launches that dog though it can throw you off - just focus on getting rid of it and again go back to circle straffing the Marauder (stopping only to farm imps to replenish ammo, armour and health).
Another pro-tip you forgot to mention though, that I found extremely helpful is upgrading the Dash ability (Faster Dasher) on the Praetor Suit so it refills faster. Being able to dash away from the Marauder and into those glory kills for health is an absolute must.
The first time against this bastard took about an hour for me on the easiest difficulty
I haven't. got to this guy yet.. just got through the damn tough battle with the ones that you have to destroy the shield with plasma to deal damage and the they come off that hover thing.. tough!
