As much as you may dislike it, this kind of thing is actually par the course to improving the study of the human body in their skill set. Whereas a a person drawing will use a naked person in front of them as a reference, this is one of many equivalents for 3D modelers to showcase their skills. What people choose to do with it is on them.

More seriously, you'd be surprised how much nudity makes it's way around a development studio while the characters are being created. Most people there are mature enough not to act like uptight puritans about it, and if they do, they probably aren't in the right line of work.

All you really have to do is replace a character model. Take the model, strip the removable/changeable outfits, remove the obligatory undergarments, and redo the texture to include the naughty bits. Save, upload, and you're done.

I prefer freedom of expression and doing what makes you happy as long as it's not illegal. I've never cared for nude mods. If people want nude mods, let them have it. Feel the same way. I never once downloaded a nude mod. Never played a porn game, and I don't even watch porn. But, I'm not going to sit around and judge people who do that stuff so long as it's not illegal and so long as it's not infringing on my own ability to play the games I want, or watch content I want to watch. Nude mods are not the downfall of humanity that some seem to think. It's literally an option, and nudity doesn't have to be "Some sad gamer in their mom's basement." Sometimes, nudity for the sake of it, is just a fun, different way to experience something.

We shouldn't be shaming people for enjoying it. If anything, we should be more disturbed by the inherent violence. Not to say that either should be an issue in this medium or entertainment, but if you're going to pick something, calling this "sad" says more about you than you may realize.

Most of the ones I've seen seem kind of lame in the quality of the textures. I can see it being one of those, " hey neat" things you try out, but I'd imagine if I tried one, I'd probably just switch it back at some point.

It's like swimsuit skins in some japanese games. Yeah, you load it and see what it looks like. May even play a bit because why not. But after a while, a girl running around in a swimsuit in some fantasy RPG just feels out of place, and the regular character design or other outfits are just better looking without breaking immersion.
