Mirror's Edge: daring but disappointing (Globe & Mail review)

Globe and Mail reviewer loves the game's innovative concept but complains about linearity.

"It's much too linear. Instead of simply moving forward by any means possible, I found myself scrambling to find the next red ladder, pipe, railing, door, or scaffold. And while we might, say, be able to choose between a couple of options of how we want to jump from one building to the next, there's no getting around the fact that we do have to leap to that building, that we can't try to go in an altogether different direction....

I give DICE props for going out on a limb with this one, but the sequel will need some serious work in order not to come off like the puffed up platform game that is Mirror's Edge."
