So basically they forgot to add strength to the storm when it reaches final few circles to prevent just this type of occurrence.

KyRo1289d ago

It was fixed less than a day after Warzone launched. It's N4G. Lately all the news on the front page is very late news. The site's going to shit.

Hold-The-Door1288d ago

If only the internet had more than 1 gaming website

KyRo1288d ago

The whole point of N4G is compile all the news from different sites in one convenient place but right now it's very slow. Not sure if user base has fallen or there's a lack of people approving posts but there's been a noticeable slowdown with what makes the front page lately.

Mooncake1288d ago

There are other websites that do that too. A couple of them do it really well at that. Pros and cons to all of them though including here

C-H-E-F1288d ago

Corona will do that to a staff... I know where I live (ATL) most of IT are WFH, contractors are on standby and those that can't WFH are just out of work. The same may be happening for the n4g staff?

Call of Duty's DMZ mode starts down slippery slope with new 'pay-to-win' store bundles

Players are not thrilled with the future prospects of cosmetics like these.

Scummy company and garbage tactics.

just_looken163d ago

i agree hence why i do not get all the money sony is spending over making sure this ip is on there platform.

Compared to the old titles numbers are less revenue is down and look at the other games in the revenue space cod is small.

All these scumy moves they are doing is not making them genshin impact money or activisions candy crush numbers.

SullysCigar164d ago

So gross. Don't forget to buy some gun sounds and support Bobby Kotick everyone!

closed_account163d ago

They should just play a sound effect of Bobby Kotick massaging his bunions every time you make a microtransaction purchase.

bobby needs that hooker hush money

People are blasting Activision for being an evil corporation on this, meanwhile everyone continues to fawn on pay to win games like Hunt: Showdown and Tarkov and treat them like they are a breath of fresh air.

I enjoy Hunt: Showdown BUT I’m not sure what characters you can buy that allow you to say, spawn in with more armour every time such as is the case here.

I know Cain was criticised for blending into the environment too much and as a result they reworked the character model twice.

EFT does have higher tiers which reward more resources and such, and it’s not my type of game but again, they aren’t pay to win, it’s merely skipping a portion of the grind, imo. Though, I may be wrong on that as I haven’t played much EFT and am just going off of what a mate who bought the top edition told me.

"they aren’t pay to win, it’s merely skipping a portion of the grind, imo."

Lol that falls under the heading of pay to win. When I say pay to win, I don't literally mean you pay for armor that makes you invincible and a gun that one shots everyone. I mean that spending money affects gameplay.

It's wild that a few years ago games like Middle Earth:Shadow of War and Star Wars: Battlefront 2 got raked over the coals for having systems where spending money allowed you to avoid grinding, but now supposedly hardcore shooters get a total pass for the same thing. Shows how quickly the gaming community is being tainted by the kids who grew up playing on mobile.

“Lol that falls under the heading of pay to win. When I say pay to win, I don't literally mean you pay for armor that makes you invincible and a gun that one shots everyone. I mean that spending money affects gameplay.”

Something funny?
Are you okay?

Imo it does not fall under pay to win in this instance as you are comparing paying to have more armour, more pvp perks (UAV) on a permanent basis. Absolutely different from paying to start off with some bullets which by the way…deplete. Completely different to buying a character that comes with permanent buffs.

You also didn’t answer how Hunt: Showdown is P2W.

“It's wild that a few years ago games like Middle Earth:Shadow of War and Star Wars: Battlefront 2 got raked over the coals for having systems where spending money allowed you to avoid grinding,”

Again, completely different to EFT.
Why? Because EFT is advertised up front to get some bullets and stuff at the start for supporting the game, whereas BF2 showed players playing as characters under the guise they were all reasonably unlockable. There were not. That is, of course, unless you have years to grind. Bit of a difference.

“everyone”?

I tell you what, I go on those comments and talk about pay-to-win and an army of whales will defend these games. They say things like it’s not pay to win if you have to complete the battle pass or git gud. They will defend their right to use cheats. Many folks like me will keep raising the alarm but the fact that 95% of players aren’t up in arms over this tells you a lot about the lack of human desire for true excellence.

JEECE163d ago

Obviously I'm exaggerating with the "everyone." It's just annoying that these types of games get a pass. Like anytime a major studio game (like a Battlefield or COD) has purely cosmetic micro transactions, it gets trashed as corporate greed. I don't like any micro transactions, but I certainly don't want any that affect gameplay. Meanwhile every few months you'll see an article from PC Gamer or some similar site talking about Hunt Showdown as this gem of a game that the hardcore love, when it is far worse in terms of microtransactions than almost any major studio game.

I noticed that when I signed in to check out season 3. Immediately uninstalled and not wasting my time anymore. Luckily we have counter strike two coming out soon so that'll have to be my competitive FPS fix
