Yet another contemporary game has an ambitious Nintendo port. In the case of Samurai Shodown Switch, it fits.
“Perfect for the Switch” might as well be a meme at this point for how overused it is.
Or maybe because it actually is? Some games work better in handheld than others.
I have yet to play a fighting game I'd rather play on the switches garbage joycon sticks over a DS4 Dpad tbh. I'd prefer the Xbox pad over it too in those cases. Alot of the games they just say it for the sake of it. If the system is underpowered it's not perfect for it. You didn't see this stuff for Vita despite it having proper online functionality, better buttons, a Dpad and such. People just want to ignore it because it's cool to say "perfect for the switch"
“ If the system is underpowered it's not perfect for it” How about for the games that are not demanding, like Cuphead? You are saying those games aren’t better on the Switch? “ You didn't see this stuff for Vita despite it having proper online functionality, better buttons, a Dpad and such” The lack of L2/R2 and clickable joysticks made the Vita button better?
I laugh at the delusion that the vita was more than a stillborn piece of failure
While I agree that some games really suit the portability factor, it isn't the be all end all IMHO. Moreover, as most of my gaming is done at home of course I'm going to go with a better version of a game if one exists. That's why most of my Switch library consists of simpler games that can run on the system without cuts or having to be downgraded.
You could say any game is perfect for any system How that statement keeps getting repeated is what makes it memetic. At that point you might as well say oxygen is perfect for your lungs
Makes sense with lower powered hardware you have to make some sacrifices.
That makes no sense...
